A story like this is better to be a 2cours anime (24+ episodes) than 1cours.

I am glad to be able to buy an official version, it just that AFAIK Iris Zero isnt a high profile serie even in Japan so i am surprised to see a french release.

She is not one of the characters from the drama CD. The drama CD introduces two new characters: a student already in the school (she has glasses, so this is not her) and a teacher.

This chapter blatantly shows the difference between Iris Zero and most mangas with romance in it. I mean, one would think this would drag...a lot. But, it is made clear that Toru knows about Koyuki's feelings. It is the main problem of this series, how Tooru was always bullied for being Iris Zero and is now scared to go back to that again...scared to lose his friends. It's a huge problem for him, and it's extremely understandable too.

This chapter also pointed out something that was left hanging: The relationship between all of them. It was handled in a great way. As for the new girl: I immediately thought: Love rival. But it seems this is the beggining of another arc.

Overall, it was amazing....and we are now, of course, left with an cliffhanger...

Chapter 27 was brilliant. There's not much more to say. This is the reason why Iris Zero is one of my top rated manga of all time. It's character interaction at its finest. I can only wish that other manga authors would learn from this and adapt a more mature and enjoyable form of romance into their own stories.

Also, there were so many great shots of Asahi in this chapter. I love the art of Iris Zero, but she's a cut above in my eyes.

Unlike most typical shounen MC's, I think we were all confident that Toru (being the kind of guy he is) figured out Koyuki's feelings relatively quickly. Though it's good to have it in the open to convince anyone left. That being said, I couldn't agree more with the part that's in bold. Looking at that circle, it perfectly depicts who each person's 2 closest relationships are on either side of them. I really like it.

EDIT: I just wanted to add that I'm also really glad that all 3 couples are having their shares of interactions/developments. It shows how well they all go together. Asahi/Tokita was fun to watch this time around (and on a second read, I noticed he took her bag for her!).

I was thinking new character looks a lot like Toru maybe his sister... But yeah this chapther proved why this is one of my favourite series of all time.

I don't know about you guys but I felt slightly irked by what Asahi said. Mainly because she was one of the contributing factors to his anxiety now but I know that he probably doesn't seem to mind it as much anymore. Guess I'm one to hold grudges,

.

Anyway, great chapter. Love the pairings as usual.
