R.I.P. Bernie Mac 1957-2008
Just happened a couple of hours ago, been released to the world.
Sad to see a good comedian go, loved his shows and movies too At the age of 50, his death was due to complications of pneumonia that were found years ago.

I was distraught when I found this out...He has always been one of my favorite comedians...Eventhough some criticized him after he turned mainstream family-comedy (Coming from the Blue-comedy origins of Redd Foxx, Richard Pryor, and others), I still thought he was able to blend his style which ultimately put him more on the map...His comedy shows were some of the funniest, stomach-aching, LOL sessions I could ever remember (His old stuff, during the time when he used to play bad-guy roles was the stuff of underground comedic legends)...I am deeply saddened and just plain pi$$ed I won't get another opportunity to enjoy his career...Damn I feel bad for all his fam and fans...
It just plain sucks is all...

W....WHAAAT? Bernie Mac? What, really? Seriously? ;________; I kinda liked him, even though I didn't find him all that funny. How sad. I'll say a prayer for his family. 50 is really far too young.

I saw the King of Comedy tour back in 1999-2000 (I forget the exact year), and Bernie Mac blew me away. His autobiographical humour (fueled by extreme forms of Self-deprecation that would do Rodney Dangerfield proud) was both exclusive and inclusive at once, wonderful timing, and great charisma marked his performance. RIP funny man, and my condolences to his family and friends.
