Just finish watching the 1st Episode and gotta say...HOLY SHIT!
The PV was great and the 1st episode was faithful to the manga and animation was TOP QUALITY! If this qualities continues, this will be crown the BEST ANIME of year 2013. |

But as for myself, yup, I'm current on the material. When I saw the preview, I knew this would be my must watch anime of the season. I'm glad things are off to a great start. Quote:

Wow it was really faithful to the source, fantastic first episode. Love how even the art style is pretty similar.
really looking for to seeing the rest of it. Presuming its a 2 cour series? (dont see how they could fit anything into 1 cour lol) |

I loved the episode, my favorite so far of the season and I hope the quality doesn't drop too much for the rest of the episodes.
And I can't stop listening to the OP even though I wasn't entirely convinced by it at first.

In general I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the setting and the whole concept of humans being kept like live stock really interesting. They think they were protected by the wall but really they were trapped with no where to go.
What I didn't like was how the attack with the titans came about right after they were discussing how the walls can't protect them forever. That felt too forced to me, but that was a minor quibble My one worry is how this is going to have to eventually deviate from the source material (especially since I am hearing there is no good stopping point) but I guess I shouldn't dwell on that until we get closer to the end. Happy this is 2 cour though as this series definitely seems way too grand for 1 season.

Very good prologue, the animation it self is beyond my expectation, IMO as long as they keep the original story and make it more intense with audio and motion I bet it'll be on par with SAO.
The last 7 minute was so intense that I thought I watch a movie, and I'm curious is this series late night series, judging from the gore it should be. if I may say 'resist it with all of your might', while I watch first episode the one I regret is I spoiled myself with the manga .

This is just jaw-dropping amazing. If Aku no Hana is as unconventional as you can get as an adaptation, this is as tip-top conventional as you can get. At the same time though on how everything is done exactly how you felt in the manga, it doesn't feel like they just made it "animated".
I mean seriously, those visuals are just- WOW. I haven't had goosebumps in watching an anime in a while.

*speechless* I got vibes from watching it..
i can't say it'll be the best anime of the year-- cmon it's still episode 1. however if they keep it maintaned at least until 3/4 of the anime, I will say that , really.

It seems to be doing really well in the reviews...most of the youtube review i watch gave a full scores for its review.
In China, the watch rate jump from 30k views on day to 150k views at night in its 1st day of release really speak volume of how great this anime adaptation is. On Animelist ranking, its currently rank #43 out of thousands of anime currently. |
