Kingsglaive has increased my interest in the story of Final Fantasy XV. As a prequel to an upcoming game , it made for a better movie than The Sprits Within or Advent Children to me. I sincerely hope the payoff would be worth it, though.

I found the spoiler quite interesting. Never heard of a game that tries this since

But whole story of this game is known from some time already... And every new info just make that spoilers more reliable.

Some people (me and many others) don't want to be spoiled of anything interesting like what IGN spoiled, also we don't know the whole story all we know is what the story is about. I don't need to know all of the details about a story or all of the mechanocs just to know if it will be good or not, I'll decide that when I eventually play it, for example I was able to avoid any Last of Us spoilers until a few months ago when I finally was able to play the game for myself, there are games that some of us just want to be surprised by.

Presumably, you'll learn the gist of it alongside Noctis. That should be enough to fully understand the story.

Kingsglaive only introduced the background of XV, acting more like promotion of XV, the main story is still handled by Noctis and friends.

Won't work on bosses or exceptionally strong monsters. It also looks like some enemies need to be weakened first.

Spoiler: So it looks like the ring should be Noctis's trump card, but I don't see how much worth it would have considering the game seems to have Noctis on a quest to collect the individual kings' powers and he already has magic of his own. (I also thought Noctis had a ring since the beginning of the game, but maybe I'm mistaken or it's not a special ring like his father's ring.)
