Lol this was amusing. Funny physical examination. Botan keeps gaining weight because her boobs can't stop getting big.

Lol Hanako's vending machine errand. Vending machines don't give you stuff randomly. You don't need to pray that it gives you what you want. But then again, it's not her fault someone put the wrong drinks in it. Although judging by the aftermath, this happens with her a little too often lol.

The checking out the clubs part was hilarious. Botan is extremely weak and she was trying out the athletics club lol. Hibari tried out the cooking club but didn't want to join it.

Speaking of Hibari, the hell is up with her? Did she seriously fall in love with a sorry for the inconvenience sign? Dammit man!

For some reason, Hanako isn't coming off as extremely annoying. Usually would want to punch such characters in the face for being extremely stupid and annoying and whatnot. But I'm not getting that feeling here. She's actually coming off as somewhat cute at times. Weird. But I don't mind.

Now we're getting another pair of unlucky girls who are part of the animal petting club or something. The red haired girl is probably overly clumsy and has a terrible sense of direction whereas the other girl gets the attention of animals a little too much.

After listening to the ED once more, I think it's growing on me. The ED is kinda good.

No, they were just by the shoe-lockers when the animals ran by. Apparently the animals found the white-haired one almost as intersting as the idea of biting Anne.

I have to say, Botan's regeneration speed is pretty impressive. If they actually manage to permanently cure her somehow, she might get lucky and become as strong as Shizou with all those broken bones.

Best episode yet imo this week. A game competition with cosplay, yuri vibes, and a mysterious cliffhanger! Ugh, it had to end there...looking forward to see what that "punishment" will be.

This is just applied sadism, isn't it? The teachers do this just so they can laugh at the unfortunate students. It's pretty obvious there are no directed attempts to resolve their misfortunes, or they wouldn't be putting Botan through what is basically a Death Course for her.

more like... how the hell is that sign still there after years... did the construction crew never finish repairing whatever that is there for 10-something years?... what the hell kind of lazy construction company is this?

The Teacher and Timothy are basically mild versions of colorful Batman villains.

The anime is about what weird and amusing nonsense our protagonists will have to combat next! The show isn't so hardcore that I find it disturbing, so it's generally easy for me to laugh along. It has a decent sense of humor, and the core trio is amusing. It helps that the core trio's friendship (and hence happiness) shines through all the Riddler/Mad Hatter/Joker nonsense thrown their way.

Episode 3
Why one earth was Hanako given the dice? That's the worst possible decision ever. She got a one on her first roll and then also got a move missed. She is so unlucky. The reason her group ended up last is because of Hanako's horrible luck. They ended up getting into a loop so bad that they ran out of time and th eery they had to go for a tiebreaker.

Lol Hibiki wants Ren to notice her but all she notices is her terrible sense of direction. Hibiki wanted to get a cute or sexy costume but ended up getting a bear costume lol.

Lol Hibiki wanted to end up last and not second to last but she underestimated the immense lack of luck Hanako has. She got the wasabi bun and crashed out, she ate up the small pocky all by herself and then she got the last answer wrong. But maybe that last one was to save Hibari. Poor Hibiki just wasn't unlucky enough lol.

That ED is just great. The more I listen to it the more I like it. Hanako is cute, stupid and extremely unlucky yet is an optimist. She doesn't come off as annoying but comes off as cute at times. This is one enjoyable show.

I didn't expect to enjoy this show but I have so far three episodes in. Hanako does seem like the quintessential happy go lucky ditzy airhead, but with her horribly terrible luck and yet her sunny disposition as she powers through it and always looks on the bright side of things and find the silver lining in her bad luck was surprisingly endearing. You'd think a moe blob character like this would come across as annoying and one dimensional but she's made it work so far. She's a good friend to Hibari and Botan too.

Hmm ... while I have enjoyed the series up through episode three my main puzzlement now is related to how the series will continue.

If, for example, it were to take the level of weird, random zaniness in episode three as it's "standard fare" then I fear the series would get very old for me very quickly. I can appreciate random, wacky, out of nowhere comedy like that, but not as the main course much of the time - it is the rare series that can pull that off for me (regardless of the medium, I find). But it works well for me in small doses or as a spice to give character to a dish.

If it were to continue to balance the future content like they did in episodes 1-3 I think it might work better for me on the whole ... at least that is my guess at the moment.

That's just my take on it though - other people may appreciate different balances and % of content generally speaking, and there is the chance that if they stick with the random and bizarre approach that it could "work" for me.

In any event I am enjoying the series and am tentatively commiting to it for the moment.

What I'm getting from Anne Happy though is that, for all the zaniness, even now I kind of feel some gears rumbling in the background... I guess?

Maybe it's because of my experience with other Kirara Forward series, but even the most fluffiest of them that I've read (Itoshi no Karin, go on read it, its great), always have an air of movement with them, as far as plot goes. These are not your usual Kirara 4komas, after all, but "standard"-format monthly manga serials.

Hmm, the punishment game or whatever was just involving some lucky items again. Nothing too exciting there. However, that ending scene with the girls looking out to the field is imo one of the most beautiful scenes I've seen so far this season.
