Actually as I see it, Pride was doing Kimblee a favor by doing so. He helped him die quicker so as to not feel the pain any longer. Pride is a good child. |

EDIT: And my whole point in the previous post was that Kimblee would be relieved from his pain, whether Pride actually killed him or let him live as part of him. Last edited by Ziziphus; 2010-04-18 at 21:06. |

but seriously now, the quote could go both ways. It could be that Pride is doing what Envy's done to the mannequin soldiers & Gluttony i.e. consuming them to gain more souls, or it could be his definition of ''eating''.

Nothing. What's wrong is you saying Lion King killed Kimblee, which didn't happen. And that Pride helped Kimblee die quicker, which also didn't happen. Kimblee is now simply one of the souls that reside inside Pride and his philosopher's stone. He may no longer have a body, but he is alive nonetheless.

I a bit confuse, so the second philosopher's stone that Kimble has, is also eaten by Pride too or just lose? I mean Kimblee can use his philosopher's stone to heal himself right? (if he knows how to)
EDIT: Thanks for the answer, guess RIP Kimblee Last edited by LMN; 2010-04-14 at 16:12. |

I think that it was mentioned before that medical Alchemy is a separate branch of the study, so I don't think anyone can do it, least Kimblee who is more specialised in killing people. Also, he looked like he wasn't able to move anyway, like the bite made him paralyzed, so even if he knew how to heal himself, he couldn't have done it.

Wait, "parallelized"? ^_^ You do means "paralyzed", right? I guess he was laid out "parallel" to the ground before Pride ate him... ^_^

Great Episode, it's just getting better and better.
But you know what I always wonder? Why won't Ed make better use of his abilities? He can supposedly transmute anything without a transmutation sign as long as he understands the composition... that's like almost limitless possibilities of hax but he redundantly uses the same weak abilities over and over again. Considering how smart Ed is he could do stuff like cause the ground to turn into "lava" than cooling it back down to rock by simply causing the particles to increase in friction. Or freezing the air, or do what Mustang does, etc etc...

Wow that opening animated fight scene was sweet. I think that certainly topped anything seen in the first FMA series. I just hope they will up the animation for some of the other upcoming fight scenes.
As for the episode they did well with all my favorite manga moments: from Al's "why can't we have both speech" to Yoki's saving the day, and Mustang's grand entrance. But I couldn't give the episode full marks because of the Op song used during the clone fight. It didn't fit at all.

In terms of using the OP in the episode I feel mixed about it. Sure during the clone fight it wasn't that great. Still the block by Alex was something that required a bit more and so the OP actually worked alright there I thought.

Sure, but saying "This is what X is" is one thing, and saying "Manipulate X using alchemy" is something else. Think of alchemy as a special science of its own. Who knows what sort of extra knowledge is required to create explosions like Kimblee or Mustang?
