Ah, thanks. But that doesn't mean the father had to hide baby Setsuna in a shack all these years. They could have been raise brother and sister.

So they went anime original. I'm actually not disappointed by this. I really liked this, and like many other anime some questions left unanswered and new ones. but i feel like the core narrative was wrapped up pretty well. Seems like Setsuna and Kuon are gonna work on their stasis machine but i guess for something other than themselves traveling through time. I like that Kuon was the Rinne to Setsuna for their legendary pair (even if unlike the legend they aren't brother and sister which is actually better) and having Setsuna not go further with his Daughter due to a feeling was all kinds of asspull, but its asspull i can enjoy!
I do wonder how old Setsuna is. judging by the series as a whole id put him in his mid to late 20's definitely not much older than 30. And if that's the case Kuon being off by 20 years probably didn't shrink the age gap a lot but at least "She" is older now. Really glad it had a decently satisfying and happy ending while still leaving stuff for people interested enough to go and buy and read through the source VN too! |

^Mom best girl!
Now the question is, since in the previous world Winter Rinne Kuon had already existed, that means Amnesiac Setsuna failed to remember her and he needs 1 more loop to repeat to arrive in a world where he remembers everything? So the true objective is actually to perfect the time machine?

hah, as i guess, people confuse even after the end. Anime original though but i can live with this. It actually a pretty ok end.
spoiler is now fine right, in your question erotora, the midsummer, ie true end can lead to both Rinne or Kuon depend on your final choice, but Kuon actual end is like Nacht said, more twisted There is no time travel involved. And it is implied that Setsuna actually went through this many time before |

usspaul pm me for spoilers before, so i reposted my message here
Spoiler for Heavy spoiler:
on the few things to add, Sara is a troll, basically everything she said and everything she do is based on her own assumptions, which i why a few pages before i said there are a lot of red herring in other route that fed false info. Karen story isn't that connected but only mean to connect to the history of the island. The confusion stem from the nature of the story, Setsuna was given to us right at the middle of the loops, we never see the beginning of the loop and how it's create, only in true end we start to realize it's nature. We never have answer who is Setsuna and when did this whole thing start. As a matter of fact, it was implied that Setsuna abused the machine to the point where the memory wipe isn't complete on him, so we can infer that Setsuna went through the whole thing a lot more times before |

red herring, technically, everything relate to Setsuna himself is a massive plot hole. I have said before, but Setsuna we know is something from right in middle of the loop, we don't know who he is and how this whole thing start, which is why i said that the end leave people confuse. What we know is that the loop is already there long before the story start, evidently implied that Setsuna abused the cold sleep device many, many times before

Honest question....How many Winter Rinnes are there running around? Summer Setsuna came from the distant past with memories of the earlier Winter people. He freezes himself to enter the next Winter stage and meets Winter Rinne again.....so what happens to the Kuon (Winter Rinne) from the previous Summer? Goes into stasis to chase him? Lives a natural life?
If the former....well he never meets her no? since the Winter Rinne he meets is always a kid. And where do Kuon (Winter Rinne in Summer) memories come from anyway? It sounds like she remembers EVERY cycle of Winter -> Summer since the first one from legend Anyway does the game ever explain why the world effectively clones itself as time passes? Or is that an act of plot "this is the way it is for plot sake" thing?

Kuon( Linne) knew about the world structure. which was further mentioned in her ending but i don't really remember much about it. But i remember the her whole story is related to this The game never explained about this looping nature of the world. As a matter of fact; there is another game set in the same universe called Himawari and have the same issues. It was never addressed really |
