Flere821 you've been busy here too eh o_O Time to crawl through the thread looking for summaries to read.. whee~

So from what I gather by reading a few recent posts, Tusjecht has been translating some in his/her blog and Flere821 has been posting up summaries again?
Pretty much.

Even after Yen Press Releases Vol 1,Tusjecht will probably continue his translations.

On another note the AW manga is approaching vol 5 of the light novels, the Dusk Taker arc apparently got skipped and turned into a recap LOL.

It's a given, really. I need to have something to do to occupy my brain.

On a side note, I haven't been updating much because I've been running into a *ton* of shit in RL. I don't want to elaborate too much, but it has to do with me being in the army, responsibilities, and live rounds. *sighs*

Still, it's not like I've stopped translating. I'm still committed to translating Volume 6 for as long as I'm able to read Chinese.

You're in the army and translating LN?
Now that's a cool combination.

Sorry if this was already stated. I haven't read through the entire 135 page thread, although I did read through much of it. I have only been reading the English LN so far and was wondering:
Does it seem possible that the creator of BB might be Akihiko Kayaba?
My reasoning for it was something like this:
1. In SAO anime his consciousness tells Kirito that Kirito showed him how the human will was more powerful that the system and that it has given him ideas of the possibilities for the future (Incarnate system in AW).
2. He lives in the net, this would allow him to do all the BB updates completely anonymously, and at a much faster speed as he would see problems instantly and would then only have to create the solution.
3. When asked why he created SAO he said he couldn't remember, perhaps he was testing the "power of the human will"? i.e. prototype for BB.
P.S. new here, wasn't sure if spoiler tags were inappropriate or not for this as it is just speculation.

.
This topic has been brought up many times but there is no perfect answer.

People have been speculating for years about the connections between the two stories, some of those speculations even exploded into full-scale fan fiction. Kawahara Reki himself has stated multiple times that SAO and AW are set in different universes which share many similarities. We can see many references in the two works to each other but that's as far as they get, just references.

Personally, I dislike linking SAO and AW, forcing one story's settings upon another just seems wrong and may very well ruin the reading experience. The references in both stories are there to entertain, to make the reader go 'ah, something like this is also in the other work', they shouldn't be delved too deeply into.

Ya, I guess you're probably right about that, it seems like an odd claim to make though when he has made a LN in which Kirito and Silver Crow duel.

I think in the next arc, it will introduce a new character that know about Brain Burst and is older than all the BLs hence is not BL. But hell anything can happen. This character finally appears because of Metatron's release from ARS, so this character doesn't like being exposed. Anyway, looking forward to seeing how everything turns out.

I guess that's what tuckersister is referring to.but the chances AA originator appearing and the originator in question has knowledge about Brain Burst and remembers about it is abysmally low considering:
Spoiler for Vol 16 spoiler:

Gensou-R.

Tuckersister has a history of insisting predicting that some older detective-type character will appear with a grudge against the ARS, willing to sacrifice personally to assist in their annihilation, and is gifted with amazing deductive skills, abilities in BB, and unique characteristics.

I take his words with a bucket of salt.
