Starts easy, blinking eye av is easy ... use the animation button to move frame by frame. If the picture didnt move.. delete that frame, then move back a frame.. go tru again, until you have 1 noticeable movement per frame.
Unless you making a gif from kyoani production, I dont think you have to delete much frames. Also, take note how many frames you delete between frames, usually you have to put in some timing lapse so the essences of the animation dont change.. for example, in blinking eyes av, you probably have 5 open eyes frames and 1 closed eye, so you delete 4 open eyes frames, thus requiring you to put some longer delay to the open eyes frame that left. @_@ Usually, 50Kb gif transfer to ~10 frames. Max I've done is 22 frames for under 50K. Pelli made it over ~20 frames as well.. but its really rare, and a pain to boot as well.

@ Shikimori Kazuki
I explained everything about timint-it-to-anime-time and how-many-frames & which-frames-to-delete when I rewrote my old Optimize Gifs Post while performing some regular maintanace on the thread's index. I also added examples of gifs illustrating how deleting frames and extreme optimize looks worse and worse.. x_o Did you read that one?!.. I know edits don't bump the thread.. Post Scriptum 1 frame = .02 in timing. Tho' .01 is generally prefered, since a faster sequence looks more kawaii.

aah i had a question, ive been looking all over for a right turtorial but its always that i either find sites that do no work anymore or sites that show how it is done with an image already in a more advanced state for coloring
i was wondering this, i drew an image a while ago, but i was wondering if anyone knew a good turtorial that showd you how to color a scanned picture, with photoshop 7.0 Spoiler for the image i wanna color:
and by coloring i mean a little like this, this a sample pic i found on http://usa-kazi.serio.jp/usadd/diary.cgi, its not owned by me but i just wanted to show you guys in what way i wanted to collour it Spoiler for for the picture:
Spoiler for for the picture2# hosting a different coloring method:
why i am posting this here, i really wanna use that picture for my signature together with other pictures i drew, but they all look like pencil drawings and i wanted to know how to color them ^^ the things i was really wanted to know is how they do the shading, and how they color to begin with, i keep on hearing things from different turtorials so i am still kind of confussed about it, one said you use the pen and go round every part you want to color, but i was kind of confussed that for example you go around the head and put that in a layer and then go around for the face that you have to go round the same piece of hair youve already been over, let alone the turtorial didnt look anything alike to what i wanted to make, which made me woner about the technique and i tried to use the pen but my skills arent that good with it, i know how to use it but i never come out with the exact same line also i heard about the magic wand one although that technique was a while ago.. |

urm.. I'm not really good at coloring too.. but, you could learn something from here like me ^^
hmm.. I think I understand your problem .. it would be wise if you look at some vectoring tutorial as well.. since the 2nd part deals with how they color up their vectors ..

@ DeathX
You use the Clone-Stamp Tool. :) ---- While holding Alt click on a area that looks like the area beneath your text should look like.. then release Alt and just cover it. Practice makes perfect. ^^

Either you crop the right and left borders, so that the source is 480x480, or you resize the 640x480 source to 100x75 target size. (its up to you, you can take something in between the 2 methods too)

I don't get this:
http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost.php?p=431070 so I used notepad and created this file "video.avs" it is still a text document. inside this "video.avs" document i wrote : DirectShowSource("C:\Anime\Manabi Straight\[Ryo]_Manabi_Straight_-_01_[81A47169]") when I drag the video.avs into virtural dub it gives "cannot detect file type of "xxx"" xxx=location of "video.avs"

when saving the file which encoding do i use? ANSI? Unicode? Unicode big endian? UFTF-8? I don't know I still get the same error. AviSynth 2.5 it doesn't have any text editor or anything... there are only files and alot of webpages. Is that the right file that I downloaded?

Where do you get you renders?
Hey everyone, just wondering where you guys got all your renders/extractions from to make sigs with.
I was looking around online for a good Shinku render but the amount of pure render sites was slim. I tried to extract an image myself but her hair was so..... T.T Anyways, I primarily use Animerender.com, but anyone else have any good sources that they'd like to share? |

@ ZGMF-X10AAs MugenIchiban the extention.. as in: DirectShowSource("C:\Anime\Manabi Straight\[Ryo]_Manabi_Straight_-_01_[81A47169].mkv") Or mp4 or whateva~ ---- I have the feeling you "installed" the source, as in @ source forge, clicked on Avisynth_257_src.zip instead of Avisynth_257.exe.
