an ant standing on a bullfrog is also possible.. but for Gamakichi, i'm not sure though. maybe something smaller than an ant?

The character data book shows Kakashi maxing out in seals & ninjitsu, Gai maxing out in stamina, speed, strength, taijutsu and Kurenai maxing out in gengetsu. Only the 3rd hokage matches that although Kabuto & Ibiki comes close.

But seeing where the series is heading towards currently, it's pretty obvious that Sakura would go under the wing of Tsunade, who'd train Sakura, especially in one of her more noted talents, Genjutsu.

She hasn't shown anything in regards to genjutsu except for her dispelling of Kabuto's jutsu, but in light of recent events I think its more than safe to say that she will become one hell of a specialist in the years to come.

The thing is that Tsunade is clearly a medical jutsu specialist along with the fact that we haven't seen her do much of any genjutsu, except making herself looking younger but that's not really going to help in combat.

The manga obviously has Sakura going down the path of being a medical nin since I don't think healing or whatever a fish would count as genjutsu.

Also, is it me or do we have the problem of alot of people making such a big deal on Sakura using Kai since she wasn't the only genin who could use it, I'm speaking about Shikamaru of course.

i think only Chuunin's and above are trained to use Kai, not Genins. Sakura and Shikamaru being able to Kai Kabuto's Genjutsu means that they have already learned or has natural ability to dispel illusionary techniques.

As for Sakura, i think she is going to be a kickass Taijutsu master(just look at Tsunade).. who knows she can kick Lee's ass too..

The only people that have mentioned Sakura's dispelling of a genjutsu in this thread were Leolocks and myself, and we weren't exactly praising her for her effort. What I would make a big deal out of was Kakashi's remark about her talent in the area of genjutsu.

Also, her new teacher would be pretty stupid for not realizing that Sakura shows talent in genjutsu and would be equally stupid for not helping her improve upon those strengths. Since her new teacher is held at such high regard, I doubt this would be the case.

Wasn't a 1000 year old Kyuubi a master of illusion? I thought I read something about that and that they could manipulate time/space (a la Yondy).
If this would be true, poor Sakura wouldn't have a purpose as the genjutsu master anymore . it's hard for her to be a genjutsu master if Sasuke can use the ultimate genjutsu:Tsukiyomi and possibly Naruto, the ultimate illusion master. Her medical abilities are innecessary for Naruto since he heals himself.
Poor girl, eather way, she has no real purpose.

On Topic: Doesn't the character database say anything about Kurenai?

I'm not specifically talking about comments on Sakura's use of kai for this thread alone. I also would have to say that Kakashi probably wouldn't have made the comment so quickly if Shikamaru wasn't lying on the ground pretending to be asleep.

The fact is that all I've seen from her in the area of genjutsu was falling prey to the genjutsu Kakashi used against her once, idiotic use of kawirimi no jutsu against a certain sound nin, good use of bushins against Ino but didn't guarantee her victory, and the use of kai, a skill that's used by shikamaru, chuunins, and jounins, doesn't exactly scream genjutsu master.

I'm just saying that Sakura will mostly have skills on the area of being a medical nin, I'm not trying to say that she could never learn any new genjutsu.

Why wouldn't he? He obviously has seen Sakura demonstrate some semblance of skill in genjutsu during the year they were together and her dispelling of Kabuto's jutsu just cemented his opinion of her.

And yes, she will be trained in the arts of medical jutsu, but like I said, her new teacher is going to realize that Sakura has talent in genjutsu and will push her into improving on it.

I'm just saying that Sakura will mostly have skills on the area of being a medical nin, I'm not trying to say that she could never learn any new genjutsu.

Fine by me. I still believe her main strengths will be in the use of genjutsu.

She merely made an observation on how Sakura's progressing in her training. Tsunade clearly expressed that she plans to stick to making Sakura primarily a medical nin based on Sakura's precise chakra control and stuff so Sakura being primarily a genjutsu specialist is out. The only genjutsu that Tsunade does at all was making herself look younger while in her fight against Kabuto every technique she used on the offensive was and stuff was medical jutsu not any genjutsu. The very thing that makes Tsunade lengendary has been clearly expressed to be her being the best medical nin of Konoha who was of great help during combat in healing and other medical factors.

If Sakura was only suppose to be a primary user of genjutsu then she would be training with Kurenai but she's not.

If there is a scroll that has a detailed account on peforming the Kage Bunshin, then it isnt a stretch to believe that there are other scrolls that have info on other jutsus.

Learning about a jutsu from a scroll doesn't mean that you will master that jutsu just by reading about it. There's also the problem of Sakura not exactly having that much stamina so the idea of being under strict exhausting training under Tsunade and completely learning a high level genjutsu in one day doesn't seem probable.

I brought Kurenai since this thread's subject is about this character and that if Sakura was mean to be only a genjutsu specialist that she would be trained by Kurenai.

Not sure about that. Kurenai doesn't know Sakura that much. Kakashi knows her pretty well since she's his pupil. Tsunade didn't even know Sakura that much. Please remember that it's Sakura who reached out for Tsunade, not the other way round.

Moreover, if Tsunade only trains Sakura in the medical field, she won't necessarily notice Sakura's ability for any other kind of jutsu, be it genjutsu, taijutsu or ninjutsu. She did see Sakura's superior chakra control but is it enough to tell someone's ability in a particular field?
