Yeah, I actually kinda agree. It saddens me a bit that the big, hulking dudes tend to get treated like fodder most of the time in manga/anime. Still, seeing as this series is from the same guy who brought us Kongou Banchou, I still have hope that we'll eventually be introduced to some awesome giant dudes who'll actually stick around..... Anyways, as far as the festival goes, anyone wanna bet that the chick in the dark clothes is our next sin? |

Strong females ? Gaara and Jericho had to drink demon blood...
I don`t find that a good thing. So we have a mysterous girl and the guy that King said he saw him before... Who will win ? I`m for King winning for Diane.

In shounen battle manga you very rarely see the cute female characters (even the strong ones) actually die, the chances of a female character living over a male character are always high. Male bad guys are usually the fodder and easily get killed off. Females? Well even if they are fodder they never get the same treatment as male fodder. It's not just for fodder characters either, even if there's a group of bad guys with similar power level, the one female in that group always has the highest chances of surviving in the end. Look at Bleach for example, 10 Espada....and the only one to survive (that we currently know of) out of those was also the only female. Sure, it's shounen...it's directed at teenage boys so of course they rather see a cute girl over a hulking guy and they much rather see the hulking guy kick the bucket over the girl...but still, I was actually kind of happy when it looked like Jericho was the one to die since it broke the norm...but then I was terribly disappointed. |

Why? It's still shounen (at least up until SBR, anyway). Though it is amusing to note that sometimes Araki makes the women look more masculine than the actual men (this was ESPECIALLY true in Stone Ocean). |

Well...
A- Sasori wasn't really a brawler, she straight up used martial arts. Kongou and Goukiri were really the only real brawlers in the MC group; B- This isn't KB Marvel, that show is over...it's time to let go buddy. |

^Tch, always one to rub salt into my wounds, aren't ya.....
In all seriousness though, it doesn't matter if she's a brawler or martial artist or whatever. I just wanna see a badass chick with mastery over SOME form of hand-to-hand combat in this series..... |
