Umm, we've discussed this already, but:

Theory in layman's terms != Theory in scientific terms.

Please do not mix those two.

Scientific Theories that have the consensus of scientists are the "best explanation given the current data we have". At some point, the data weight is so crushingly dominant that it has more validity than your memories of what you did yesterday do to you. It is not harder for scientists to do that, its their *job* to be skeptical - both of established theory and of new theory.

Ya'll realize your memories aren't really all that accurate. They're just self-constructed stories that connect the dots of data we collect... "the best explanation at the moment."

Scientific Theory can be adjusted or tossed out. Einstein showed just how powerful the test of reason is last century. Theories must withstand the test of *reason* which includes testability and the potential to disprove. Even evolution can be tested by uncovering new facts from ancient record or, more recently, with the staggering advances in biology, genetics, molecular biology, and other fields. The poor creationists haven't even found that section of the bookstore yet - so their theory is totally toasted along with flat earth theory (they just haven't noticed it yet).

The advantage of being Chinese is that you get to have multiple Gods.

But mainly, a worshipper of Decency and Kindness, and Respect for History and Ancestors.

Atheism has nothing to do with communism, it's a lack of belief in God, or in some cases, a belief there is no God.

Edit: I guess I'll elaborate a bit and say that "atheists" do not follow any specific doctrine; atheism is not a belief system, it is the lack of one. If atheism equals communism, please explain to me why Northern Europe and Japan hasn't succumbed to communism yet.

Please educate yourself, even reading the wikipedia entry for "atheist" will probably help you overcome your ignorance.

This post made me facepalm.

Anyone want to place bets on whether this individual can even articulate their own particular beliefs?

Nominally, communists are atheists. But, atheists are NOT communists. I certainly hope that he doesn't have the second part at the back of his head.

Marxism is supposed to be "scientific", meaning that religion is worthless in the face of class oppression.

Communism itself isn't atheist, but its view of the world helps enforce atheism.
