I actually like the VA's voice. Yes, Mina is old, but she ages only very slowly. She even attempts to pull off the "little flower girl" bit at the beginning of the story; something I can't see her even trying if she sounded too mature/old. Regardless, her voice matches very well what I envisioned when reading the manga; so I'm happy

And there are plenty of juicy side-characters, like Vera and the dangerous vampire count and the father and the student council pres and her shouta and the Haruna figure.

As has been said, the question is whether there is enough story, and how they will conclude an anime series.

EDIT: I've now read up to the end of v5, which is the most recent I can find in Japanese or Chinese, and that seemed to me to end at a reasonable climax, although it might mean some fairly drawn-out episodes, as some chapters seemed in the manga.

not quite sure if it's the money issue, i think shaft staff just lacks animators.

Shinbou is a wizard. He makes stylish anime without spending too much money. The idea is to get away without using too much staff time. If he wanted more animators, he could just subcontract more than he already does. Only a few animation-otaku complain.

Sweet, it seems the anime adaptation is only two months away. I just started reading this manga and I'm already loving. And I usually hate vampire anime and manga.

Not to mention there will be werewolves in this as well.

I just hope it remains faithful to the source material. They don't really need to make any changes to the story at all.

If Shaft's animating, I wish them luck. I just hope they don't make this like they did Bakemonogatari.
