Both. You can grow them by being exposed to IS long enough, but most people never get enough of. And then there's Karon, who is on the other end of the scale where she born with a remarkable amount of the trait and still having so much more room to grow. (It is speculated often in my fanon by Tabane and Three Diagram that Kajie probably could have operated an IS like Ichika, but he never tried one and died before the theory was established). Which is rather hard to believe, but it is a BIG reason why Tabane is so interested in her, so I decided to run with it.

That's a pretty interesting theme I'm guessing Ichika is the equalizer/balance then? Karon and the ISpers represent the full sci-fi spectrum while people like Irish and Maximillian represent the full realism spectrum. Ichika is male but he's also an ISper and pilot which makes things interesting.

Karon was born with great potential then? Did she get this from her genes or something else along the line?

Side note- In your fanon can ISper mind reading be resisted? In the draft I made about 30 or so pages ago they couldn't read Irish's mind because he's a very detached/secretive person. Karon could do it because, as you said, she has great potential and even then his head started hurting because of the forced reading. Can people resist in your story or can ISpers bypass any mind defense?

Well why not? I'm still afraid about falling into 'harem antics' problem, so here's my request;

Can you please write the segment where the girls (Madoka, Rin, Houki and Cecilia) visit the important place in the past (while all the guys watching porn and doing random jobs ) for example

Basically, we're squeezing as much angst as we can for all heroines, and have them share it. As for Cecilia, she realized she was an intruder, not knowing anything yet treat herself as important person to him.

Having them sharing their agony strengthen their bond as friend, kind of.

Spoiler for My question that had yet to be resolved:

Have this idea that having white Knight (ShiroKishi) as most powerful I.S. before Akatsubaki rolled out, but can you give some explanation that gen-1 and gen-2 I.S. is weaker? need some help.

That aside, Shirokishi also can go hypersonic, while later I.S. at least until Gospel and Akatsubaki cannot reach that velocity as easily (ByakuShiki can, but only temporarily). How was that?

I want refurbished ShiroKishi to be a fragile speedster, low attack power and defense but incredible mobility.

This is because new ShiroKishi using Sub-core system instead of real I.S. core, who doing it job by stole some 'bandwith' from I.S. core network. It can be used by normal male, but it's power output only reach half that ordinary I.S. cores, therefore most of its power was directed at propulsion and sensor.

Also, what do you mean by twin cores? Does that mean Vandam Imouto has two cores ala Pentium D or Pentium Core2Duo?

Umm, what's the name of new weapon in Japanese? I have this plan of making it a 'Weapon archive' instead of standalone weapon.

And the shape as well as the power is kind of different, it would be more of a makeshift sniper instead of overpowered cannon. it was achieved by combining Amatsuki and Kawarame, hence the bow shape.

How was that?

Congratulations for the new chapter, however, there's something I had to warn you
1. Copycat Suing
2. Spotlight Stealing

Those two problem often plaguing ANY fiction, and by that, fanfic included. Please read the url so you can understand what I mean. I personally liked your plot, it was pretty original, and the pacing is incredible. Also, I don't think those two problem exist in your fic, until I placed myself as 'ordinary readers', not 'fellow fanfic author'.

Most readers doing their hobby of reading our fic from a specific angle, some can be simple, some can be tricky. The trickier one is hard to impress, but they're more attentive at spotting problems.

The only one thing I don't like form your fic, personally, is this passage

I understand that Inami's intention of saving the guys because he's kind and naive, however, from certain point of view, he also act arrogantly and looking down at other characters ability, leading to problem number 2.

Also, it was CHIFUYU who should take the mantle and command them, you're downplaying her (sucky) commanding ability, which is good, but at the same time doesn't makes sense considering she has highest authority.

(Yeah I knew, her tactical judgment is crazy and stupid, but procedure is procedure right?)

My last advice, DO NOT TAKE THIS if your feelings saw this as not right, this is only advice to broadened your POV, and that you should saw your own story from various angles.

@ Zero- Let me try to answer your questions.

1. Gen 1 and 2 I.S are weaker not just because they have inferior performance but because they have a harder time synching with their pilot. The more generations pass the more they become refined super weapons.

2. I'm assuming ShiroKishi can go supersonic because it's WAY thinner and compact to the other IS along with the fact that Chifuyu is probably a near god level pilot.

3. ShiroKishi is a fragile speedster because it forgoes all armor in favor of the BFS and boosters. Notice the arms and legs are very close to normal size while others have colossus size hands. It also didn't get hit one during it's debut.

4. Sorry, I don't know anything about the weapon.

"S2 Concussion Grenade" it is. As a reminder, it's basically a flash bang, smoke grenade and an electrical jammer in one.

Flash bang: Unleashes a flash of light to blind the targets, also dazes and disorients by the shockwave from the detonation.
Smoke Grenade: Unleashes a thick cloud of smoke to disrupt the target's vision.
Electrical Jammer: Tempararily jams electrical systems.

It does all 3 of these things at the moment of detonation. This video here shows how it detonates. It'll affect both human and machine targets. And the Infinite Stratos is no different.

At the start, I kept it as vague as I could, so Karon noticed that when she first got into the Vandam I she could "read the movements" of the 3 PT agents and their Mobile Dolls easily. After that fight and the end of the story, Tabane explains it to her that she was an ISper, "someone whose unique brain structure can read the hidden language of humans using the IS' sensors and interact with the core to create a new One Off Ability."

This hidden language is only restricted to strong emotions, and some people are more easily read than others. And there will be quite a few people that Karon can't read, and she'd simply brush it off as "unreadable". Irish would fall in to the latter, but she's still perceive his very strongest emotions, like pain, hatred and... Love.

@ Meister - So she's just naturally gifted then? I guess that's okay. Good luck explaining what love is to Irish though Most child soldiers in real life can feel or even experience love but they won't know what it is, it's part of the emotional numbing they receive due to constant fights.

Side note - She could probably read Amnesiac!Irish's mind just fine since he's generally trusting and gullible unlike Jerkass!Irish.

Sorry Zero, that has to wait till my fic comes out... Eras asked the same question, and that was my answer to him.

IE, I turned her profile into a full fic.

But yes, due to some spoilered circumstances, Vandam Imouto has the Twin Core System, where the power output a single IS core is not doubled, but squared...

...in theory. The current output of the thing is still comparable to other MPIS, the second core being a redundant system that Karon uses for her One Off Ability "Zenryu Zenkai" (Full Power, Limits Off - An unreliable ability that makes Vandam I glow red. Percentage chance of 3x every parameter for a short time, then return to 1/3 of original parameters to recharge if the effect triggers.) It is speculated to be incomplete, and may need to reach Second Shift to complete it. But no one knows, not even Tabane. She's just watching her creation grow...

But I'll come out and say it first. I have no plans for a Raiser of any kind.

You mean this? She can, potentially. She shown some hints in V7, but due to her mischievous nature, it was obscured by her actions. The lack of Tatenahsi POV be damned.

@Eratas: well, I would say it's genuine love, so Tatenashi may lower the amount of teasing and actually increase romantic like actions without malice. But definitely not to the point of constantly daydreaming about Ichika, that's Kanzashi's role not the onee-san.
If you want, you can take some ideas from "waltz from the mysterious lady", hopefully that might give you some more input.


@Zero: Not really sure if twin drive IS cores may actually work for this universe, I mean it's not like Gundam where 2 drives combined together will square the output. (and no magic fairy dust please)

Well, in Ichika's dream like thing in ep 12, I would say that Shiro Kishi has a complete core, as it's the same core that Ichika is using. And the Shiro Kishi has a huge ass buster blade, I have no idea if that's supposed to be a primitive Yukihira.

Yeah, I read half of it before the power out yesterday, and then I went to sleep.

I plan to continue to read it right now actually, but forget which pages.

It's not even twin drive system, just a backpack of some sort, which kicked hanger system to conserve space.
(actually, it's CANON ability that ByakuShiki 2nd shift has it's boosters doubled, but oh well)
