Either way, I haven't seen Eureka Seven so this could also be part of the reason for why I didnt understand the contextual meaning behind what you were trying to say. Anyway I really do hope that this anime does well. After all, this series does have a lot of potential. I'm not too sure how I feel about the first key animation...

It seems fine to me. I think it's a very good staff - not BONES absolute best, but their near-best is better than most studio's aces.
Who's cast as Deku is very important, I think. I would love it to be a young actor like Honjou Yuutarou - my guess is it'll be Murase Ayumu. He'd be fine, but a bit too on-the-nose...

I think of him much more as Ao in E7 Astral Ocean.
Actually, if they keep Yamashita Daiki (Onoda from Yowapeda) I think that'd be an excellent pick. But it seems you rarely see actors from vcomics and drama CDs carry over to anime these days.

^ If E7 is the comparison then I'm looking forward to this, as that was one of those shows that I enjoyed with no idea why.
I've always loved the way Bones animates action scenes, so fluid and detailed. At least with them, you can expect it to be pretty. |

Hm... so they decided to use Yamashita as Deku? That's pretty rare when vomic voice actors return to the anime.
Kenta Miyake probably will be good as All Might as well, even if I'd prefer someone more hammy. |

So, apparently the Anime already has a 3DS Game and Arcade Card Game tie-in in the works.
Looks like they're already trying to push this to be the next big thing. My only concern is whether or not Bones will be able to handle the work load if this does turn into a long runner. Longest project they worked on was the 2nd Fullmetal Alchemist series, which ran for 5 cours. Most of their stuff has been 2 to 4 cours. At any rate, I wish the production committee on this project luck. |
