Animation and character design looks subpar and Gentiane means it will follow manga not game which is automatically step down as well. Fortunately I didn't have high expectation ever since first PV so I am not disappointed at least.

At least its confirmed we get Gentiane. For the first time ever, the MC of gacha game anime is female (unless you count Female Fujimaru in Fate/Grand Carnival, or Djeeta in GBF special episodes).

Still super pessimistic about anime, but one thing is obvious: person who made this OP visuals definitely play game and care a lot. From some shots and transition that match early game PVs to major spoiler Easter egg.

I think we might get Butterfly incident flashbacks ahead of time.

Edit: BAD CANDY isn't best GF song ever, but it's up there, which is also good.

Seen first 10 minute of episode on official yt channel stream (it starts around 41 minute). Animation is relatively smooth, but choreography is nothing to write home. BGM is very loud and play even over dialogs making them barely understandable at times (I hope it will get fixed in official release). Also Agent look more derailed then intimidating.

My take on this:

So basically in this world where World War Otaku happened where all the weebs created their waifus based on guns and pit them against each other (because using actual military weapons and vehicles is too ridiculous), then a group of generic cyber/fetish waifus appeared and basically dominated the fight and now the gun waifus need to find a super weeb to lead them to victory... how close am I?

so main characters names are based on M16/M4 Rifle Variants.

AR15 is civilian version of M16 iirc

This was ok. But nothing really grabbed me about it either.

I did feel for the mass produced ones that got slaughtered though. Tough break for them. Left abandoned only to be dragged into an unwinnable fight.

Leaving the snark aside.

A pandemic wiped out most of humanity after some nation found a Alien McGuffin substance. They made up for the loss of manpower with androids.
T-dolls used by Griffin are, for most, civilian T-dolls they could grab and strap with weapons they could find. Because unlike the governments, PMCs don't have the financial and political means to get shiny military androids. As for why those are mostly made to look like girls, manufacturers found it's easier for humans to empathize with them that way.
