Makes no difference. Mutants in X-men are just as much people as normals. Doesn't stop the whole "They're not like us!" arguments from being tossed around.

Well it's a somewhat complicated matter but the basics is that the Celestial is the monster form of the human and the human is a human.

"May the Heavens guide your path."

I was thinking if I should include someone who's actively making Celestials XD

"Only the living know victory"....oh, we weren't exchaging quotes. Never mind.

Can human nails be used to claw someone to death?

@eras: It's something the bad guy would say when a new celestial is born

After 2 hours of torturous mutilating clawing...

Or scratching at that rash

Well...no, on the other hand, human can train their fingers strong enough to crush bones and internal organ....

I just hope that if IS LN continues, there will be more plot focus with lack of executive meddling.

I won't be surprised if the anime made original arc that somehow either better or worse than canon, I'm not holding my breath or anything...just saying.

@ Senpai - Is it realistic if a person is still walking/limping even as the armor they're wearing is falling apart piece by piece from the damage?

Again: what kind of armor is that? An armor is designed to be flexible and/or rigid and all the damage suffered by it are mostly internal (the ceramic especially)

There is NO armor in the world that can fall piece by piece dramatically.

EDIT: except MODULAR armor, like, Gundam and tanks, and that design is useless when applied to human.

Back to more important question: what matter is the damage suffered by the wearer, certain kind of damage may not manifest until later, especially when adrenaline is involved. (hence I said sometimes an accident victim is not as fine as they show)

In God of war, Kratos got smashed by a giant statue and he got.....smushed. He was alive, but he could barely move and the metal armor he was wearing fell off piece by piece. Kinda like that.

If he's smashed then go limp most of the damage is probably internal, and yes, walking limp is still possible if he still have enough system intact just to move.

As for the failing armor: it's a dark fantasy magic story with heavy dosage of rule of cool. It's up to you to use it or not. But as I said: unrealistic.

So I take it Kevlar/Bulletproof vests falling if they got sliced by a big sword being impossible

How's your joint fic going?

Nope, but the internal ceramic piece will shatter, and someone that maintain/repairing the armor will ask if the wearer was hit by a truck or something

Not much development, now that she's got a boyfriend, less and less time for the project, since she was busy with school in the firs place

How heavy is Kevlar and does it impede sneaking?

Everybody here seems to be getting into relationships Guess I'm going to be the only one here forever alone

kevlar is composed of multiple layers of kevlar fiber. It's not armor plating so falling apart might be a stretch.

If a person suffered serious injury like a gunshot but was given medical attention outside a hospital. A doctor was asled to give a more proper treatment if needed. Does the patient still need to go to the hospital? And if asked to keep things quiet about the patient and not go to the hospital. Would that go against doctor code?

Are Kevlar and bulletproof armor's the same thing?

Yes. I doubt a doctor is carrying a mobile hospital on him. The need painkillers, blood transfusions, and many other things that aren't available on hand.

Kevlar alone is not that heavy per se, standard kevlar shirt is usually weight less than 1 kg, but it wasn't that good against anything larger than dinky 22 LR and is extremely weak against knife.

Thicker vest with plastic/composite armor can be up to 2-3 kg, and is good at stopping common rounds like 9mm or 45 ACP, or maybe even smaller magnums like 357 or 44, and slightly more resistant to sharp object.

More powerful rounds including rifles requires heavy armor plate between the kevlar layer, be it metal or ceramic, and usually being 7 kg AT THE LEAST. Using knife against this one is meaningless unless it's a lucky strike.

Anyway, let's see if that wimpy-ass playah can last long with her, you know what's scarier than angry brother? scorned woman.
