These pictures are coarse because i scaned from books.
If the background is unnecessary,use photoshop and extract only emblems.

A ring around the neck is a sign uncertainty. If Nanoha gave her a ring and Fate wore it as a necklace it's showing that Fate accepted the gift but isn't comfortable enough to wear it on her finger. So the symbolism there is actually anti N/F if you want to look at it that way.

Though it might not be a 'ring-ring'. I know some girls in anime/games have a 'ring' like that but its not one you wear on your finger - rather its just a well... Ring.

Though that is a different way to look at I suppose...
