Here Athena is a bit darker and appears after him and hunts him down.

Oh and there was a blood in the episode, something rare in this season's shows.

Campione! 10 - "Watch Out For Snakes"

When Perseus was posturing on the stage at the start of the episode, it reminded me of Loki in The Avengers, but with less world domination. The fight was pretty well done, with both parties being evenly matched, just enough to provide dramatic tension. Not sure how much of the information on gods has been embellished for this series, but it's one of the more creative ways I've seen of combining exposition with fighting. It helps that the visuals, such as Godo's sword becoming about five times his size, make it more than just talking heads. From the end of the episode, I think Athena's even more dangerous now than she was in her first appearances. Though being able to transform into a snake rarely ends well for anybody, as it is written on the Internet. It's for certain that Lily is in the running for harmette, now. I foresee many swordfights between her and Erica in the future.

I mean it was to help him out...
It was an interesting battle between those two.
In reality, they sure talked a lot during the battle..
Seems like Athena really likes Godou ^^

Also, damn Godou sucks. Getting beaten up the whole fight.
Mitras was also pretty bad, how can he fall for the boomerang arrow trick which is like the oldest trick in the book.

knightdere Lilianna is a nice change now.

They sure made Athena sinister. And here I was thinking she was going to be added to Goudou's on-going harem. It's highly unlikely after this. Hell, she seems like a bigger threat now than when she was first introduced.

It seems that Liliana was able to make Godou's sword absolutely HUGE. Which is why he should just dump Erica. She never made his sword that large.

I wouldn't say that, well at least for Godou's sake. Athena is pretty threatening, but the thing that could save Godou is that she LEGITIMATELY seems interested in Godou, and not in a plan to back stab him later kind of way. This is like the 3rd time where she has kissed him with intentions more than just a heal or curse spell. Maybe she's interested in the complex nature of human romance, who knows. I can honestly see Athena in the future as the side harem member who is pretty distant from everyone, and just drops in to interact with Godou from time to time.

Anyway, good episode. Lili was so awesome, and officially part of the harem. This is how I love my harem, when its real harem and not the crap where everyone is worrying who will the MC choose. Just got one more to go, and it seems she will definitely appear next week.

There is a lot of things I want to point out that is different from the Light Novel, but too many so I won't. Pretty gruesome how Athena killed Perseus, didn't expect him to get eaten.

Personally, I love when an anime makes itself different from the source material, but still can be engaging and entertaining. Never really care for the whole "anime has to follow the source" thing that some follow, which is why I like being a anime only fan compared to reading the manga or novel first.
