Can some one help me, I have installed the game on my laptop and followed the instructions of the patch but I still cant get the game to start. After starting the game I'm left with this:

Are you sure you have the language settings correct (installed and switched to)? It seems that your computer doesn't know how to display the characters properly.

You need to set your system locale to Japanese for some applications (like this one) to run correctly. See http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...-system-locale

It says: "Please insert the game disc of 「CLANNAD - Memorial Edition -」."

You need to have the game disc in the drive and you can proceed. I think you only need to put it in once and after that it never asks for the disc again. At least that was the case with my copy of Rewrite, Key's most recent VN.

Do you have to patch the voices if you are using the Standard Edition of the game. I mean for this English translation to work.

You do not have to as far as I know. It should work with a vanilla version of the standard edition.

OK ! I think I figured out the saving problem, but to confirm it, someone must send me the whole series of SSL.g00 files that can be found in the G00 folder ! Could someone be kind enough and do me that favor ? If someone can save without crashing, it means that he has them. But if he can save without having them, then tell me how to save without getting the crash ! Thanks and much appreciated !

Hey I wanted to ask if there is any work going on to get a patch for the Memorial Edition? I bought the game, can install and run it but from reading this thread it would seem I can't use the current patches on this version.

Will there be a Memorial Edition patch and if so does anybody know how long until a version of it will be made available?
