Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. Even Antimagic Academy is getting a new release. Even outside of anime/manga, some of my favourite book series are getting updated, like the Stormlight Archive in March and Dresden Files in May.

It's literally what it says in Rikaichan: 藤壺 = acorn barnacle.
Anyway, so the series is actually called "xx" Hikaru ga Chikyuu ni Ita Koro, which probably means that this series talks about "the life of different girls named Hikaru". Each of the volumes have a different girl in the cover and a particular name in focus. Aoi in Volume 1, Wakamurasaki in Volume 3, and Rokujou in Volume 9, for example.

The lack of an entry in Wikipedia makes it hard to get a grasp on the context of the story's title. I'll just turn it to Fujitsubo since it seems that it's a name, and not a nickname as the quotes suggest.

FYI, 藤壺 (Fujitsubo) is a real family name.

And Fujitsubo can also mean "acorn barnacle" or "a vase filled with wisteria flowers". That's why I need context.

No, that title is supposed to be translated "When Hikaru was on earth" (meaning, when Hikaru was alive) : XX ; XX being the name of a girl each time. I haven't read that LN yet (I bought the volumes but will read them in a few months) but AFAIK, Hikaru is the name of the boy who was at the center of the harem when he was alive.
So it's more of
"When Hikaru was (still) on Earth : Fujitsubo"
