Lambda has no relation to Takano besides using her as a "piece" during her game with Bern. Higurashi and Umineko have no relations at all with eachother.

I understand that, but could Battler be a witch without knowing it and have used Keichi as a "piece" That might explain why Berkensteel wants to help him so much...

I too feel that Battler's sin is somehow responsible for the birth/creation of Beatrice. Beatrice kept emphasizing that at the time of his sin she and Battler had not met. And since there was no immediate consequence, Battler isn't aware of it and cannot recall it, since it was probably something relatively ordinary.

The specials are just short parody scenes from episode 1 and 2, they were included on the first DVD/Blu-ray release.

But Beatrice is a title, as EP 3 shows Virgilia once being called Beatrice before handing the name over to Beato.

Um...I think what rogerpepitone meant with Battler = Virgilia, was that Battler might have been the one that signed in Maria's diary and caused her to believe in witches, Sakutarou, and Mariage Sorciere stuff. Not that Battler dressed up as Virgilia or anything. But still, I don't think that would fit into the time frame. Since six years ago, Battler would be 12 and Maria would be 3. Maria recieved Sakutarou older than three years of age, and didn't remember Battler when she met up with him again, six years later at the airport.

Considering when we see Maria get Sakutaro I doubt she got it when she was 3. I'd say around 6 or 7. Sakutaro is gone by 1986 and Ange recalls seeing him with Maria on her last conference in 1985.

That's the bitch of it. He is able to say Asumu is his mother, and that Ushiromiya Battler is her son (does he say in the VN 'Ushiromiya Battler was born from Ushiromiya Asumu' as well? I forget), but he can't say that he himself was born from her. All we know is that this means he is certainly not her biological son. But if he can call her mom, then is that because she still raised him and he believed she was his mother? An adopted child would certainly still consider his loving adopted parents as his true parents, even if he was not born from them by blood. So that could be why he's able to say he's her 'son', but not that he was 'born from' her.

The tricky part is that Ushiromiya Battler is Asumu's son, but he can't say 'I am Ushiromiya Asumu's son'. There is a lot of speculation that this means the Battler we know is not the true - or at least not the only - Ushiromiya Battler.

Regardless Beato still tricked him, because not being blood related to Asumu still doesn't affect his status as Kinzo's grandson. As far as we know, and there is no reason to doubt, he is still Ushiromiya Rudolf's son.

OoOOoh! But is it really possible to forget something like that? If that's the truth then when did he do it? It couldn't have been just six years ago, that wouldn't make much sense. Plus if that was the sin, why would Beatrice have a reason to be angry at him? She strikes me as someone who wouldn't care about something unrelated to her.
