Ah, thanks; wasn't sure - either way, that sort of weapon would be very well suited for a "Purple" in AW.
But yeah, we have only theories as to what "White" and "Black" actually mean in conjunction with abilities/powers. And there are those weapons in AW canon that are sought after and effectively "legendary", I think 7 in total, so it wouldn't be impossible that there could be lesser items that are searched for as well.

As to Nanoha, Arisa and Suzuka as Burst Linkers...
Spoiler:
As to the abilities of their avatars, well... Spoiler:
Regarding Yuuno, I will state once against just how bad he is as a conventional Burst Linker... and yet, not that bad. Spoiler:
The story could even include cameos of other magical girl teams. Spoiler:

White = The Mario. The center of the color wheel, the point of averaged-but-still-decent attributes. No particular strengths or weaknesses. Black = The Lethal Joke Character. Outside of the color wheel, the empty space of poor attributes across the board. Counterbalanced by strange abilities that can achieve victory if properly leveraged. Black Lotus is Level 9, which would mean her below-average attribute potentials are realized more fully than most player's best attributes. Which in turn allows her to more easily apply her one unique advantage against them (and I believe that ability to be "Cutting Through Anything"). And that's not even taking her Level 9 Killer Moves or Incarnation Attacks into account. Since Fate isn't an Indirect Combatant, Yellow isn't an appropriate color. So I'd go and make her Black. I don't know what her unique trait would be, but she would definitely speed her level-up upgrade points on increasing her speed. |

Making Hayate's avatar White is iffy. White is apparently the "Mario" color, and canonical Hayate either falls into the Red or Puple categories for being Miss Nukes-A-Lot.
Then again, I'm all for giving Hayate a completely different set of abilities so long as they fit her personality. Giving her the color White, I could even do something interesting with Reinforce. Black Dragon's weird "Black" power, by your own words, is apparently supposed to be a pair of hypnotic eyes. Any opponent who looks into her eyes feels a suggestive pull, and if they don't resist, they react sluggishly and without paying attention to their surroundings. This helps her off-set her generally poor overall stats, but she's in trouble against someone who recognizes the trick and breaks out of it. I imagine it only works against one opponent at a time (the one she's staring at), which leaves her unable to watch any other opponents or her surroundings. Though she might be a Yellow-Eyed Dragon, considering that's the color of trickery. Black Lotus has purple highlights, which might harken to her attacks of varying range (Death By Embrace, Death By Piercing, Death By Barrage). And if that's too much of a deviation, I'd just go whole-hog and make her Black Cobra, the Yellow-Eyed Charmer. Not really interested in inserting whole new Legions, and "God Empress Vivio" really doesn't seem to have a place in Accel World. Especially as the Japan of 2042 has absolutely nothing like the Sankt Kaiser Church. All Burst Linkers are 15 years old at most, and most younger than that. How many of them would be dogmatic religious types? |

By being no-lifes who have clocked 1000 years of Accelerated game time. That's being logged in for 1 year in total, about 1/7 of every day. A common occurance amongst hardcore raiders who have been playing since 'vanilla' Accel World.
This is just RPing taken to a whole new level, as they've been logged in so long that AW has begun to encroach into their radicalized minds. (But yeah this is hard to adapt my OCs to AW, considering that all of them pretty much rely on Saint Church lore. I'll think of a better setup in a while.) On Keroko: The reason why I chose Red eyes because of Keroko's love for all things red... Her magic is red, her hair is red, and so are her eyes. Even Keroko made Keroko have the same visage as the Flame-haired Red-Hot-Eyes Hunter. Plus she exhibits domination over fire, and like Nanoha is a bombardment specialist. Black + Red = Pyroclasm, it seems. And wait till she gets Chrome Disaster'd. Which leads Nanoha into an epic battle either to save her adopted sister, or put her down. Of course, we cannot forget: "FINALLY, THE WHOLE WORLD SHALL BURN."

I'm rather more interested in puzzling out where the major canonical characters fit in.
Like Fate. We can't leave out Fate. Where's Fate? Option 1 -- the Innocent route: Fate is the younger-older sister of a living Alicia and they live a wonderfully happy life with their mother Presea. But really, we already have that kind of situation with Nanoha, Arisa and Suzuka. Option 2 -- the .Hack/Sign route: Fate is a bodiless artificial intelligence that Presea created in an attempt to revive Alicia; in fact, Presea might be the creator of the Brain Burst program itself... unless she collaborated with Scaglietti. However, it's probably better to save such a plot point for a later character: Reinforce, for example, translates much better as a purely-electronic AI character. Option 4 -- Fate broke the unwritten rules of Brain Burst and told her mother about the program, and Presea is still some kind of genius scientist who finds the whole thing fascinating. Since Presea knows about it, she can command her daughter to do things in that world for her... but what kind of things? Option 5: the copycat route (ie: something already done in Accel World). Fate was a Brain Burster who fell into a coma. Her younger sister, Alicia, plugged into her nuero-linker and discovered the Brain Burst program, which partially functioned for her since she was so close to her sister. Not being formally introduced to this world by another Burst Linker, Alicia broke the rule of secrecy and told their mother, Precia. Precia created an artificial intelligence based on Fate's mind, which would operate her duel avatar while Alicia merely watched. In this way, they could have "Fate" generate new memories, which they could periodically download into the real Fate to stimulate her mind and guide her back. There's some temptation to cast Fate in the mold of the canon-native Kuroyukihime. Indeed, one might depart from the MGLN pattern and have Fate be the one to make Nanoha a Burst Linker, rather than Yuuno. One could even go whole-hog and make Fate a Level 9 king... but going that far is just making her Kuroyukihime with Fate's face. To be more true to MGLN, Fate would be a more experienced and higher level player than Nanoha, but not overwhelmingly so. It's tricky but still possible for a Level 1 player to defeat a Level 4 player, as Silver Crow and Cyan Pile show us. And Silver Crow didn't have a Rare Item. Hmm. If Nanoha and Fate are to be equals, perhaps Nanoha needs to lose the Rare Item at some point, and continue developing without it. REJECTION OF 'INNOCENCE' AND 'GRIMDERP' I don't know what kind of story Innocent intends to tell, though it looks like a redux of ViVid: A bunch of cute girls engaging in harmless fighting contests, with no meanspirited characters in sight. Well, that's not the kind of story that Accel World is, because it's set in a PLAUSIBLE world. Accel World is a story where the heroes learn to deal with, and to an extent overcome, the facts that lots of people are emotionally-traumatized, selfish dicks, and sometimes bad things happen to good people. People get hurt, and people need to learn how to heal and forgive. THAT was Fate's story. She was a deeply hurt girl, who hurt others (and hurt herself in doing so). Nanoha rejected the right to be angry; she forgave Fate and tried to understand why Fate was hurting. Fate eventually forgave her own mother and tried to reach Presea's wounds as well. (Incidentally, Presea teaches us another lesson we have to learn: Sometimes, people just refuse to heal.) If Nanoha were faced with a blackmailing bully like canon-native Dusk Taker, I figure that she would have taken a route that Haruyuki and his friends didn't seem to consider: Try to figure out WHY he's doing what he's doing, and then attempt to convince him that he doesn't really have to do that. As opposed to this silly shounen idea that defeating him in a conventional match will somehow solve all of their problems. (Unless Haru was planning from the start to keep challenging and beating Dusk Taker until he ran out of points and got deleted from the game world. Which still wouldn't have solved the blackmail problem, or prevent Nomi from seeking revenge with further traps, since Haru didn't know that Brain Burst deletes a person's MEMORIES along with their avatar.) PEANUT GALLERY: Are Arisa and Suzuka just supposed to be supporting characters; warm bodies to use in team battles that advance Nanoha's or Yuuno's own plots? That's fine, but it's also possible to give them equal billing as main characters by giving them their own goals, and involving them with their own antagonists. Even if Arisa has the same goal as Nanoha and each of them serves as rivals to the other, that's fine. |

How about a cross-over with Spider-Man xD?
Spidey would have a hell of a day dealing with superpowerfull magical threats but being the brilliant good-natured skirmisher he is he'll most surely come up with a smart solution by the climax xD he has fought alongside Sorcerer Supreme Dr. Strange and the ultimate Reality Warper Scarlet Witch, he has some experience with this kind of stuff xD

There's a snippet on the fanfiction thread that gives that as nearly the very reason that he ventures into Gensokyo.
Rather, he goes looking for Yukari to ask her to teach him, because he wants to keep supporting his friends in battle but he thinks he's not strong enough. (The solution of getting a Device is never mentioned.) She accepts, since she's interested that he not only displayed enough mastery of borders to slip through the Hakurei Barrier, he also traveled up the endless stairs of Yuyuko's White Jade Pavilion, past the fairies, ghosts and Ran Yakumo, without firing a single shot. A "pascifist run", the author said. (It was written before Gears of Destiny informed us that Yuuno knew Shoot Barret F.) |

Keeping track of said idea, The Huckebein are probably on average Asgardian-levels of power (that is, as strong and durable as Lady Sif and The Warriors Three) which means they could stomp with most of MARVEL's lesser hero teams powerwise. Spidey is an avenger so guess ti will be interesting to see an Avengers Team B Versus the Hucks (Team A with Thor, Hulk and Extremis Armor Iron Man will stomp the everloving crap out of them without breaking a sweat xDU). The team used in the animated series seems ok enough (Spider-man, Wolverine, The Thing, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and war Machine.

Yeah, all of them are on the same level as the beings who inspired Norse myths. I don't see any problem with that statement.

...then what's your wise suggestion on the matter? i'm impatient to hear it xD
If Joe Quesada and Masaki Tsuzuki had teached us something is that a writer can do whatever they want with a plot without the need to ask for the readers's approval xDU
