I expect Aria to be in the 10k range as well as really boost the sales of the light novels... but who knows it could pull a Stratos and do even better... not to sure on Steins;Gate.... really wouldn't be surprised @ sub 10k.

Because there are less people who want to anticipate Hidan no Aria's anime adaptation than Steins;Gate.

stein;gate basically one of the most anticipated VN at that time becouse it colaboration between nitro+ and 5pb.

while Aria pretty much moderately popular LN (like MM, Okami, Ika musume) (not to mention VN tend more popular than LN)

but considering this Rie and JC staff again....

Edit: actually just think this second ZnT

Ika Musume isn't an LN, but a manga.

Nothing coming up this season that's a must watch for me, but plenty of stuff I'm curious enough about to check out:

Sengoku Otome - Hey, I liked the Koihime Musou series well enough. This might at least be good for a laugh or two, plus fanservice.

OreTsuba - It's another Navel adaptation, so I'm curious.

Nichijou - Randomness + slice-of-life + KyoAni? Definitely worth at least a look.

A-Channel - I'm a sucker for 4-koma shows.

Denpa Onna - The descriptions for the series have made me just curious enough to want to check it out.

Hopefully most of this stuff will be decently light-hearted. I'm in need of some laughs after Madoka, and Freezing turned into a gigantic trainwreck. Even Index II has been pretty heavy lately.

There are so many promising series this season. It's very varied too, in my opinion. It's easier to list the anime I won't be watching rather than the ones I will be....

The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
Tiger and Bunny
TWGOK II

The maybe pile:
Oretachini Tsubasa

I'm really gonna have my work cut out here.

I really think of Moshidara as a Winter series. Given it's unique release schedule, even under the proposed disaster-amended plan it will still have finished airing before Spring season starts.

There's alot of shows this new season For now I'll leave out the Eroge Adaptations and Slice-of-Life 4komas and the obvious kids shows unless they're somehow mindblowing... Which leaves me with these as confirm to watch the first episode...

Ao no Exorcist
World God only Knows 2
Dog Days
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko
Hidan no Aria
Hana Saku Iroha

Six sounds like a reasonable number, though how many would be left or how many new ones would be added by the end of the 13 weeks remains to be seen.

Kaiji might be my only sure bet at the moment. I'll be checking out at least the first episode of:
  • C
  • Ao no Exorcist
  • Deadman Wonderland
  • X-Men
I have high hopes that at least one of C, Ao no Exorcist, or Deadman Wonderland will turn out worth watching. X-Men will probably suck given what I've seen of Madhouse's Iron Man and Wolverine, but the trailer makes me at least want to give them another chance. If I can get one or two of those to watch along with Kaiji, I'll be happy this Spring. =)

"Can it be? Has the anime industry recovered from whatever down period it has
been passing through recently?

This spring, there are 47 new series, compared to 36 last spring and 35 the spring
before. And I see promising shows in a number of genres."

Sadly nothing much this season for me in terms of I absolutely have to watch... but fortunately Noitamina doesn't disappoint. XD

AnoHana - yep, just one read of the summary, and instant 'most look forward to' anime of the season for me

KamiNomi - hopefully Tenri shows up this season *crosses fingers*

Stuff that picqued my interest

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko - would've been in the higher category, but I try not to get my hopes up for Shaft shows lol

Hana Saku Iroha - gives me working vibes... plus the art is so pretty

Moshidora - for some reason, I like baseball anime, even though I don't really watch MLB XD

The other noitamina show - just because its original, and the premise is not ordinary to say the least

Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa nai/Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi/Stens Gate - always look into adaptations just to see what's up

Stuff I'll take a look at...

Ao no Exorcist - shounen stuff ain't my thing, but animation looks topnotch from the previews

X-men - one of these marvel shows gotta interest me, right?
