Storywise, anime-CCA is different from novel-CCA (Beltorchika's Children & High Streamer), anime-Unicorn is different from novel-Unicorn, anime-NT is different from novel-NT (Phoenix Hunt) and even anime-Thunderbolt/Origin is slightly different from manga-Thunderbolt/Origin.

Originally, HF & Unicorn novels were made to follow the Beltorchika's Children continuity, but Sunrise adapted Unicorn & Phoenix Hunt into anime following the anime-CCA continuity. Thus, in anime-HF's case, changes from source material should be expected.

Considering Unicorn & NT already took the future HF continuity into account (by featuring the Gustav Karls), there's always a possibilty that Ban-rise will ease in the Unicorn events into anime-HF. Whether anime-HF will divide or streamline the UC continuity after CCA is a 50-50 chance. We'll know after we saw the entire trilogy.

Considering that, I'd say there are good chances they'll include references to Unicorn then. I'm clueless when it comes to Gundam novels, so I wasn't aware of all those changes. All I know about Hathaway's Flash is that there's a lot of suffering, at least for one character.

New Key Visual for the movie, featuring the Xi Gundam

Kind of interesting that the movie Xi Gundam is heavily based off the original novel design by Yasuhiro Moriki, with features like the yellow fins on the chest and the lack of mouth vents among others. Oddly though, the movie's Xi Gundam has a white torso, which makes it look more similar to the Penelope than I'd like.

Call me crazy, but I like the white torso, just like how I like the white top of Barbatos form 6. Over the years, we got so many prota-Gundams with colorful torsos that I really want some actual white main Gundams (thank God for Unicorn & Narrative type A & B). So, the fact that we'll have yet another "white devil" main Gundam (that's three chronological entries in a row after Unicorn & Narrative) just makes me happy:

We don’t know, but I don’t see why they would stick to the continuity of a novel from 30 years ago. Plus an earlier trailer promoted this as the sequel to CCA.

Or they can intentionally make it ambitious by not having a flashback of that scene.

But it is most likely from the CCA movie version I guess

When you have the second HF teaser itself promoting the CCA movie continuity, there's almost no reason to think that this Hathaway is from a different universe from that CCA movie.
