can anyone describe this series to me, it looks awesome from what I saw of the last installment but I can't get a video of it.
will this one be more gundam centered or will it feature other mecha from other anime series? |

Think of it as a mix of Zone of the Enders and Armored Core (which makes sense, because ACE is done by From Software) and add in mecha anime.
From the last two games, it just might be a mix of real robot anime like Aura Battle Dunbine, Gundam, Nadiesco, SPT Layzner and others. ACE2 actually only had 0083, Char's Counterattack, Endless Waltz Wing, and G Gundam if I recall correctly, and the only one that had most of the story in it was 0083 (Amuro from CCA appeared as help for one stage and stayed with you, no story at all there since Sazabi is an unlockable, G only had God and Devil Gundam appear, and EW units were like Amuro and appeared as help and just stayed with you.) ACE had a bit more, but it's been even longer since I've played ACE, so I can't remember them all. I find that the ACE series is more fun/aimed towards the fans of the older real robot shows that almost never get any love (L-Gaim and Aura Battler Dunbine, for instance) though, but it is pretty fun for a mecha game, all it really needs at this point aside from some fine tuning and maybe Super Robots would be a good multiplayer mode instead of just one on one fighting. |

Seems it's coming out in Japan on September 7th for the PS2.

They never put in playable grunts for the last few games, so I doubt that they will bother (come on, does one really, really, REALLY want to use a Zaku II against Devil Gundam?) but the system might change a bit since it might be the last installment of ACE.
Since ACE mecha system in the past had the pilot that's supposed to pilot the mecha pilot it (In otherwords, Amuro would pilot the RGZ as well as the Nu Gundam, can't switch it for Char or anyone else) it would make sense that the main mecha would be featured one way or another. |

Awesome though! One thing I'm worried about though is that the Gundam X may be a little overpowered though unless they do the Moon thing like in Alpha Gaiden.

Oh good god this is the best news since Starcraft2.
And from the mecha lineup, looks like Banpresto is so going out with a bang. I'm so sure I won't be the only one trashing SEED mechs using any other series'. I've had quite enough of SEED's fanboys IRL. What with blasphemy like Nu's funnels being a copy of SF's......... And this game would be the best medium. /evilness I'm looking forward to basically all the mecha that wasn't in ACE2, so colour me a happy fanboy. Especially Master Gundam. What a sin it was to leave it out of ACE2. And please give us another positively GREAT game OP after the classics that were Garnet Moon and Glorious. I think I'd better stop fanboying now. Oh and add me to the people going crazy about Turn A's involvement in this. In a positive sense. |

Looks like a semblance of the official site is up.
No matter how blasphemous it is, seeing Shin Getter flying beside Freedom sent me into ecstasy. The Gods have answered!!!! Shimatani Hitomi is Back for the OP!!! *fanboys* And King Gainer looks pretty. Can anyone spot Turn A in there? I couldn't.....
