The Medaka cover for 6 is definitely a nice one. I've liked what Akira Akatsuki has done with the covers post volume 2. I look forward to seeing how well it does in the coming weeks.

I didn't think I'd end up liking Emukae as much as I did. That was a pleasant surprise. However, Hitomi is even better than I expected. The first Hitoyoshi I put in my favorite characters category. Also its hilarious that if Kumagawa ever managed to succeed in his futile chase for Hitomi, he gets to call Zenkichi his worthless son.

Nice that Koga still retains her abilities. She just needs the electrical aspect to restore itself. Also its good that the minuses abilities were expanded on a bit more. Answered a few questions I had.

Only 4 so far. Emukae, Kumagawa, and the two that stopped him in the Hinokage fight. 5 if we include Shiranui.

In a way, Kumagawa's pretty badass... Stabbing himself through the head, rotting off half his face... Doing all of that with a smile.

How do you beat someone who just doesn't DIE!?

On a side note, I'd like to see Medaka using more of the new abilities she copied, particularly the 'weighted words'

Soooo... We have the Beginning now (Kumagawa) and the End (Medaka). Wouldn't it be hilarious if Zenkichi, by virtue of being a normal guy, turns out to be the 'Middle'?

I wouldn't be surprised, the abnormals are + and the now we have the - crew and we've had Zenkichi described by a lot of people as being as normal as normal could be. So he is the 0 between the two able to interact with both equally?

Why everyone want Zen to be abnormal ? It's because he isn't that he is such a great charcater ! All he have for him is his strong spirit and with only that he can achieve great thing ! So I really hpe that he's not an abnormal guy but just a normal one who acheive great thing because his will is great.

Well, his name is Zenkichi. Not sure how the Kanji is, but Zen is basically a philosophy of balance and equilibrium. And Kichi means luck.

Maybe he's lucky AND balanced. :P

I think, that is the reason, many people think Zenkichi has some kind of Anti Magic as ability and can resist abnormal powers.

Yeah, I think the amount of speculation behind Zenkichi stems from the fact that the setting is populated by a lot of people who are, frankly, not normal. It's hard to believe that he's just a normal guy (and knowing Nishio Isin, it's likely that he is just normal), hence the theories on his possible abnormalities.

Still, if there's a crackpot theory out there that I think has merit, it's the Neutral/Zero theory.

As far as I can tell, his abnomality is to be the main character... which means everyone loves him, hates him, wants to be him, wants to kill him....

I do find it weird that Zenkichi is the only normal so far. And his mother is clearly not, and not only that but alot of people are watching out for him, enemys that is!
