Uh... the point is that they're different now. Tager used to be like that, but then they buffed him in several ways as seen in the latest location test. The question now is whether or not they overcompensated. How he used to be is irrelevant to the new balance.

I know, I took the information from the buffs, and compared that could beat him with theirs respectively. I'm especially happy for the less magnetism time.

Some October 3rd/4th location test changes:

Rachel can seemingly do frog combos again.
Rachel's new Distortion Drive no longer consumes entire wind guage, though its effects are still dependent on how full the guage is.
Tsubaki's charge speed is now equal to Accent Core Order Sol.

You know, I don't believe Rachel as a long range character before.

What I'm worry about is if the new game come out, and there is no Nu-13, then I only ask them to at least keep the BGM "Awakening the Chaos" in. God, I love that BGM.

I wonder if there will be unique BGM for a certain match up, like Noel - Tsubaki or Jin - Tsubaki, or they will just use the Imperial Code for all of those.

Btw, the new loketest is undergoing right now. About Rachel....

Frog combos are back it seems.

new super doesn't use wind but may depend on current wind stock. Damage reduction. May require actual wind usuage. many questions to be answered here.

Still will not recharge wind immediatley but not as bad as loc test 1. Also, it seems wind recharge penalty only applies when you have less than half or something. Need confirming.
Seems like they've realized that stripping everything from Rachel is a bad idea. I don't mind if she is getting nerfed a little bit, and isn't a top tier anymore, so there will be less Rachel players out there (selfish bastard, I know ). I've always loved to play underrated character, and Rachel is first exception.

[edit]
Geez....being ninja-ed again.

I'll find the link later but apparently people have said that at the location test there is one more empty slot.

On the topic of music. I think they really need to prepare new BGM for Litichi-Bang, Ragna-Hakumen, and Jin-Hakumen. And I bet Rachel-Hazama is going to have a seperate theme too.

Hazama may have just jumped to my second favorite character after watching that.

He seems to be sporting an attack that reminds me of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat.

lol I'm quite convinced that Hazama is a mega homage to lots of things.

Besides his Drive looking like Scorpion's attack, he has Rugal's famous Genocide Cutter, Thouther's Kyokusei Jyuji Ken etc.

But most importantly he has Slayer's taunt as his winning action lol, because of this I may give him a try lol

I have no clue if this was posted already or not and I'm not gonna search all 38 pages of the topic so let me know if it has.

Anyway this started a while ago, but I found something very funny. BlazBlue Radio! Starring the seiyuu of Ragna, Noel and Tsubaki.

S'only the prolouge but it's the only episode I've found so far that's been translated. I hope someone does the rest soon.~

Seems like Rachel has made a comeback with the 2th loketest:

And also seems like people is starting to know how to use Hazama properly.

Yay Rachel's looking great again.

Not sure whether is it because of some nerf, that this Rachel seems to be using alot of the 6C in the combos. J2C seems to be used much lesser, or this player doesn't like j2C combos.

Adding a lightning bolt into the air combo is cool, ground comboing into the new DD is great as well. The new DD looks really amusing lol, reminds me of May, who was my sub in GG.

Also, did Rachel have this colour scheme before? I don't seem to remember it.

I'm getting more interested in Hazama now, I like the fighting style.

Anyone mind getting a shot of Nu-13's "Nu Gundam" colour scheme?

Didn't they say that Rachel's j2C has gone for good?

As far as I know, the nerf to j2C is like this:
Quote:
Jump ↓C: does not link to other normals on block and cannot be cancelled into other special moves.
You can still use the bounce combo, if it hits, which means your opponent is crouching. You can also use a triangle jump, if the opponent doesn't block.

If the opponent blocks, you are in for punishment. Which means no mixup or crossup game.

You also can't summon a pumpkin, frog or any special after the j2C.

So it still has some use, but no longer able to do any mixing game or used for guard crushing. Plus the slow wind recovery means that we won't be doing too many triangle jumps.

I guess, Rachel is much more balanced now, having reduced rushdown capability, I'm quite satisfied. As long as frog combo is still in, Rachel still has a good damage output.

Sorry for being a noob, but the terms "mixup" and "crossup" are what always got me confused when I'm browsing dustloop forum .

Mixup is where you try to mix your attacks so that your opponents have to block high or low.

In BB, there's 3 types:

Attacks that must be blocked high, Rachel's j2C for example.
Attacks that can be blocked either high or low, 6B.
Attacks that must be blocked low, 3C.

When you do mixups, you throw your opponents into a guessing game and pressurises them. This was one of Rachel's good points, her j2C gave her a good mix-up game. Which even when opponents manage to block you sucessfully, will heavily reduce their Guard Libra, giving them a guard crush.

A crossup is when you jump over the opponent's head and attack him from behind. If he didn't react to the attack and switch the block over to the other side, he gets hit.

Rachel has a few j2C triangle jump 'bouncing' combos that you can switch from mixups to crossups. If you jump cancel a triangle jump into another triangle jump, you can sometimes cross over the opponent. Depending on your timing and who's your opponent.

Rachel's j2C is one of the greatest tools in her rushdown game. It works as both mixup and crossup, guard crusher and combined with frog and pumpkin made her corner pressure extremely powerful. Also it does alot of damage in combos or as a single hit, 2k when you reach maximum acceleration.

I guess I'll just put the 3 great Rachel combo videos on Youtube here:

well, now that they're rebuffed Rachel, its time to make Lambda Nu again..

its funny cause in that Rachel vs Terumi vid, you could tell when the rachel player was like, "i'mma try.... NOW"

Loving Hazama's Smooth criminal and Alucard colours as well as Jin's Lelouch colours.

I would like to see how the new Arakune plays though.
