Well, Kayaba couldn't have done it in the first place, because he doesn't have access to the technology behind BB.

Good point. Even if he is now a digital entity and has the technical expertise, he still needs the technology which is likely to be protected by strong firewalls.

It's just that I'm can't stand people making clear cut speculations with Kayaba alive as basis, when it's never confirmed, and hasn't shown up for at least five volumes.

It's really funny how such a judgement can be made. Currently, it's only because SAO is full TLed and AW is not. AW has more plot than one might think. Based on the author's words in v10/v11, AW's story is just beginning!! And he has hinted indirectly that it might go over 20 volumes.

There's no said evidence of Kayaba's body being dead. ever. (only words from a programmed AI he created...right?) Of course feel free to try and prove me wrong.

A connection and a homage are two different things, and if something is a homage, it in no way implies that it's a connection. In this case, I'm inclined to believe that it's the latter.

Just finished watching Accel World episode 22. I was shocked at that one scene.

The anime already proclaiming that AW is the future (or at least in the same universe) of SAO???
