Well, the live action movie has hit a production snag. The director they originally hired left the production due to creative differences and the project is on hold now. The manga is extremely popular in Japan though, so that should definitely help the anime in terms of awareness.

but assuming it does faithfully adapt the manga, reading the manga will give you better understanding of character names and plot since there will be a lot of details provided in the manga and I doubt it will be all included in the anime. but for the sake of the plot twist, why don't just enjoy the first few episodes first before read the manga I've been itching to re-read the manga as well since I already forgot most of the minor events and character name, especially after big revelations in the past few chapter of the manga...but well, I will just wait until the anime air

don't worry, the culprit for the failure of Magi is not found in the staff list.
I also can't wait to experience the first few chapters of story again, this time in anime form. With the latest reveal hopefully the director is aware of the key frames that need to be included.

I caved in and read threw every chapter it was worth it Man haven't been this lost in trying to figure where a plot is going since early gantz before it turned into borderline twilight. Tho the main characters so far are more safe here.
