That was a bigger timeskip than I expected. Most of the episode was spent on introducing Hidaka and showing her develop an interest in Haruo and games. We may spend more episodes without Ono than I initially thought.

As a side note, I didn't know so many versions of Street Fighters 2 had been released.

For whatever reason they skipped Street Fighter II : Hyper Fighting / Street Fighter II Turbo : Hyper Fighting and the list continues here:

http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=795 <--- this list does not include the 3 versions of Street Fighter III nor the illegal ripoffs with cheap super moves.

After forcing myself to watch the latest episode, I've decided to drop this show. Nothing against the story but I just can't continue watching this eye cancerous CGI. I thought I could tolerate it but I really can't. I'll check out the manga instead.

I think it's a really good manga, FWIW.

Considering Netflix has mostly released their licensened anime a season after it ends, I guess that makes this either one cour or two split cour.

Ono is jealous! And Haruo is probably going to remain clueless as to why she treats him that way for a while. It doesn't help that she doesn't talk, as he pointed out himself. Ono and Hidaka are polar opposites as heroines. Not only does Hidaka talk, we also hear pretty much her every thought regarding Haruo. Ono's thoughts on the other hand are completely off limits to us. They're not hard to guess, but it's interesting the two heroines are portrayed so differently.

So good, this series - both forms. Authenticity meter is off the charts.

This isn't news, but Haruo is so dense. Of course Ono would get mad if you say something like that!

Incidentally, the manga will end next month. Any hope for a full adaptation?

Ono and Haruo finally made up, albeit quite violently. I'm glad they each understood how much they mean to the other. Well, maybe not completely. Now it's going to be interesting to see what will happen with Hidaka.

On a different note, that Miyao guy is a total bro.

The volumes of the series are in very high position in the ranking of series more demanded of amazon, did not expect that the anime would be well accepted.

Just wanna confirm something. Is this season supposed to be exactly 12 episodes? Each one feels precious at this point. So I'm trying to figure out exactly how many weeks left I have to look forward to more.

I don't think we know the exact number of episodes.

Episode 9 was seriously amazing. Haruo realized he loves Oono and did everything he could to be with her in high school, even putting video games on the back burner. It's such a shame his efforts weren't rewarded

On a completely different note, Haruo's mom is awesome. I crack up every time she's on screen.
