Not really novel related, but I was checking out the novels on Amazon and flipped over to the BD page, and saw in some of the reviews that people were wondering if they bought the wrong version, since it wasn't uncensored.

...Okay...

Do these people actually pay attention to the dialogue when they watch a series, or do they just smile at the pretty pictures?

I was watching the illustrations of volume 8 and I saw several with Jibril cying her eyes out, I knew she was in a difficult position last volume but don´t tell something happened to her, she´s my favorite character so I hope it turns ok for her, I need some spoiler regarding her status.

hey guys i just started this series lately, and i have a question. Is violence of any kind and no matter how small(ex: slapping) prohibited by the first pledge? also, can violence be allowed via a game i.e the right to kill or torture the loser? i'm just curious about this, seeing how there's slaves in elvengard, and how the shrine miko threatened a painful death on sora after his game with izuna.

If the "slappee" has given up their rights to the slapper (ie: lost a game with slavery as the prize), then anything is allowed. They are effectively property, at least to the one who won the game. Otherwise, it's up to the context of the situation. If the slap is consensual (ie: Darkness from KonoSuba crossover), then it is allowed. Otherwise no. The slapper won't even be able to will themselves to do it. Miko's threat was just that, though that certainly doesn't preclude her challenging him to a game (or manipulating him into challenging her) with physical battery either as a condition of the game or the prize.

Pretty sure there's an NGNL Wikia out there somewhere. Or you could always read this thread. You can't get the Kindle versions of the novels? Sure, they're probably technically region locked, but there are all kinds of ways around that.

And the anime only covered the first three volumes, so you can start with the fourth if you saw the anime. Just ignore the last episode after-credits part.
