Straight out, the purples as well as the other dark colors are very vibrant which look great. One thing that bothers me about your new c4d work is your light source. It's a bit too bright. Now if you can blend that with sme purplish or bluish, then it will be better but it's just a bit too white ATM. Render and choices of c4d are a great combo. Color of text and position of text should be revised. I would center the text around the left dark portion of the canvas and change out the colors to compliment a c4d color. Excellent first attempt at c4d. The more you do, the better you'll get. It's all about experimenting with all the different blending modes and what not. Keep experimenting.

Well I just found the render, here (it was originally posted by Mika-tan and rendered by someone else on the other forum)
Spoiler for render:
Edit: followed what Wing said and did some changes:

Symphony of Oblivion ^^;;; playing with words? ^^
Haha... It looks pretty cool, the background effects, good job! XD However, I do feel that the bright purple does contrast with the sepia tone of the render (of the character) in the signature XD. Or so I felt. Heh, don't you think? |

i will agree with Innominate : the mix of colors and bright contrast just don't match at all.
Be extremely cautious with bright blending with Pale characters, they tend to be extremely bright. and here, it is hard to distinguish her face and expression. also, be careful with the words and C4D, they don't look really smooth, but rather jaggy

All he is probably missing is a couple of gradient maps to easily blend the render with the bg. As for the text adjustments, bump it down about 7-10px and to the right about 3-5px. Change out your text mode from none to sharp or strong. Use a brighter color for the fill as well. Still great first attempt. At least you achieved a more vibrant look in your first try than me lol... I had to settle for a smudge c4d look with Shinku.
Sorry about this, but I couldn't help myself but to help you out with a visual on gradient map work I did with your image: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...adientwork.png This is simply an example of applying more than one gradient map to help blend the render with the bg.

Personally i would remove the blue like color you added on banner 1/2/4. I also prefer the third banner. But than give it a softer blue. But that is just imo.
