And yet there was apparently only one Nova, which makes no sense considering how easily she was handling that Type S at the start of Freezing Zero. The facts simply don't add up, that's the problem I'm having with this whole thing about her death. And I hate it when plot points make no sense, really irks me.
Oh it definitely will, expect another round of character bashing in the next two weeks, guaranteed. |

I'm guessing it was the latter, twenty miniature Legendary Stigmata? Yeah, that was too much for her to handle. So she did lose control and risked becoming a Nova herself, so she took the Type-S down with her. Okay, now I think it finally makes sense, at long last.

Freezing 194 translated came out:
Poor Ryuuichi. Driven by despair of losing his wife and having his life fall apart, as well as having his dad constantly telling him that "it's his fate" to lead all mankind when all the guy wanted was a normal life, he took a gun to his head. Did he do what I think he just did to poor Cassandra?

Too bad Ryuichi cannot live through it until the end.
As there might be some good and bad being the chosen one, he could not truly have what he actually wanted. Fate, fate, and fate. Ryuichi did not ask for this did he? That's the one thing I strongly agree with. I guess I'll just take advantage of what I have. |

The point here is that he got ****ed when he tried to go against fate. I do feel sorry for the guy, of course, but it could also all have been avoided. Plus, he didn't really have to rape Cassandra and then shoot himself afterwards. Moreover, the guy actually shot himself right in front of his daughter, who at the time was a kid. That's not right.

Ryuuichi's life being ruined had nothing to do with fate.
His wife was mentally ill and he decided to ignore the problem and hope it went away instead of getting her some help. If his destiny was to impregnate the Legendary Pandoras, all he had to do was supply some sperm and go back to his wife, no one told him he actually had to leave her.

And you're right, it could've been avoided. But Gengo expected Ryuuichi to learn the truth on his own, if he'd revealed it to him early on, and show him how it could be a boon rather than a bane, he might've actually come to help Gengo rather than oppose him, for he'd see his life indeed had value. Thankfully Kazuya has no such issues, wonder of wonders, and has no desire for self-termination. How he handles all this, we'll just have to wait and see. The story has gotten to the point where very few things make sense anymore. You could call Ryouuichi and Orie's tragic backstory as a result of fate, in universe. However, meta-wise, it purposefully plays on the emotions of readers to draw them back in on a story that's gone stale.

this arc actually gives a very good conclusion
Spoiler for 195:
I can't bring myself to comment since I hate this tragic and twisted arc but after seeing chapter 195, I finally can accept this development |
