Subtitles look messed up in MPC-HC
I'm using Haali Renderer with MPC HC 1.3.1400. I recently switched my own subtitle renderer from MPC's built-in one to Directvobsub. I do this because I'm dealing with files which automatically adjust to screen aspect ratio.
MPC's built in filter was not applying the aspect resizing to the subtitles, which I intentionally stretched horizontally by 10%. Directvobsub does, so subtitles look correctly scaled. But when I tried to play back a past MKV encode (it has 2 subtitle tracks, with separate \kf lines for kanji and romaji, as well as for the translation), this happens: Curiously when I open the file in Windows Media Player, or drag and drop the ASS file into MPC-HC while the file is playing, it displays correctly (though screen capture doesn't include the subs, so this one's a print-screen): What gives? Is there anything I can do about this? |
