Space exploration, or slightly more mundane underwater exploration.

Simply put, I.S. can move very fast and survive bad environment, any stuff required these two can be done by I.S.

They're CREATED for space exploration after all, when Space Program is folded and Tabane's idea being ridiculed, she completed (or possibly, refitted) WK with combat gear, I.S> became the machine we know now.

I meant how it's so important economy wise. There's no freaking way people are sustained by an economy based on that thing.

Neither does the military give any immediate returns--monetarily.

However, it is a security, publicity, political, and technological investment.

There aren't huge corporations solely dedictaed for military stuff. I find it hard to believe that whole corporations rely on the IS and IS alone. If it was a weapons manufacturer, they wouldn't be just making one type f weapon then.

Now let me ask you where it was ever stated that a corporation who manufactures IS only makes that.

Dunois? It was only mentioned that the government would revoke their rites to manufacture the IS, which would make them a laughingstock considering that their 2nd Generation frame once made them so popular--weather or not they'll go bankrupt after that is anyone's guess.

But that doesn't even matter, because military stuff = conventional weapons. Now tell me there aren't any large corporations who solely manufacture conventional weapons. As a local example? ARMSCORE.

Now, remember that both IS manufacturers and the military are sponsored by the government.

Dunoa has the highest amount of equalizers available and they still get laughed at for not getting a better frame. It seems only the frame is important at all.
