Hitagi is part of Koyomi's world, a series without her is a soup without salt... except if the series happen before Koyomi meet Hitagi.... I'll reconsider that..

A part of me feels like this series is gonna air before the Kizu movie.

Because Kizu as a movie actually requires SHAFT to manage their budget well while they can improvise like they always do with a TV series?

Hmm with average sales of 60k Bakemonogatari, and the initial sales of 57k Nisemonogatari, i believe that SHAFT will not have any financial problems...
But if Shinbo starts spending it in the red light district, that is different story...

So I think most of us know that the Kizu movie is postponed and that the format for NekoKuro is still undecided. I know that isn't strictly Zenmonogatari, but what do you guys think is the possibility that the movie idea will be scrapped? Instead, the two books could be reformatted together into their own series like Bake and Nise; Kizu and NekoKuro both fit into the prequel category, after all, and it could totally work.

Personally, I prefer OVA to movie, because unless one is in Japan, he has to wait about half a year after the theatrical release to get his hands on the discs. Also OVA, and to a lesser degree movie releases are less limited by episode duration and count. Finally public broadcasts have to comply with "decency" practices which can limit the content until the disc release about three months later.

OVA > movie > TV >>> nothing

I'm thinking they'll still have Kizu as a movie, but i think Neko Kuro might be an OVA, however OVA are usually split up to 1 episode every few months, so that would be agonizing.

If it was an OVA it wouldn't be a single OVA... it could be 4 hour long OVAs spread out over years... gimme that movie instead.

Same for movies, like Kara no Kyoukai (3 years) or Shinseiki Evangelion (5 years)... plus six months extra wait per release.

Who knows... They haven't announced anything about the movie at this time, so we'll have to wait and see.

Zen is not (yet) announced for Fall. Here's the full image (found it on 2ch).

You can see it describing the timeline in the series (物語シリーズ年鑑), not saying when it will air:

First series
- Kizumonogatari (Spring vacation)
- Nekomonogatari Kuro (Golden week)
- Bakemonogatari (Spring to Summer)
- Nisemonogatari (Summer vacation)

Second series
- Neko White, etc. (Fall and later)
