So true. I've seen some female and male protagonists that advocate a "no kill" policy but they didn't annoy me in the least bit. It's just the way Sakura is portrayed here and her actions that bar on idiocy at times that bugs me. But let's see if she grows up or remains ignorant.

Just started watching this, I don't know the source material (except the first 3 chapters just to compare) but so far I'm really liking it. Sakura does come off as naive, maybe even stupid. However, I can deal with her since Oogami is stealing the show.
I'm trying not to get my expectations too high, since buildup like these tend to have disappointing conclusions, but the show is doing a good job at drawing interest. I'll keep following this and see if this can continue to amuse me by either introducing interesting characters (kinda like Getbackers), or has a strong enough story to prevent it from getting boring. |

It really is funny, especially with a lack of much in the realm of true comedies this season. In fact, are there any real comedies at all this season?
Probably the funniest show of the season, though I'm not sure how much of the humor is intentional vs viewer-derived. Ogami would be even better if he didn't have a heart of gold under his fake-evil exterior (mercy killings, sparing people's lives, hell...allowing himself to be an agent of the government killing "sinners" rather than siding with Code001). I'm concerned that eventually he's going to stop pretending to be all "evil", and all the humor of the show will evaporate. I just hope that doesn't happen 'till the end. As for whether our resident female protagonist is annoying or not, I simply see her as necessary so our funny man Ogami has someone to riff off of and deliver the humor.

Every damn week, Sakura pisses me off and just comes off as super annoying. And Every damn week, the show rewards me from sitting through it all by having Ogami kill the bastards anyway. ALL my frustration is wiped away when seeing the Codebreakers basically do what the hell they wanted to anyway.
Seriously, they need to just make her stop tagging along during his missions and leave her usual bitching for the school scenes.

Well, the episode did give her a proper glimpse of the world that Ogami lives in. I think she's slowly starting to get it.
Don't forget, it was Sakura's words that reached the tabata guy or whatever his name was. So with this episode, I'm willing to give her a little slack for showing off her learning curve. |

Sakurakouji thought all Code:Breakers were friends.
She was totally wrong about that, well, partially wrong. Ogami's welcome to class surprise party was certainly a surprise. Interesting how Ogami always takes Sakura with him on his missions. Looks like not only classmates, but also some of his comrades care about him as well. Most of all Sakura...

The "lost" looks to me like the what the contractors had in Darker than Black, were the agents must pay a consequence when they use they're power. Probably each agent has their own unique "lost" that is different to each other.

So Sakura met quite a few of Ogami's comrades.
Ogami in lost form wasn't looking good at all. Toki's lost form on the other hand was really cute and LOL All of them staying at Sakura's place... that was an interesting idea. Well, at least all of them were having fun. So Hitomi was the one behind it all. Didn't think he would dare to attack Sakura's house with all 5 code breakers there. Guess he thinks he's better then all of them. Sakura making a stand was impressive! She really is a special one.

Ok, so "Lost" wasn't as bad as I thought. And I guess it's comparable to a Contractor's Remuneration. Although Remuneration compels a Contractor to do some activity, rather than making something weird happen to their body.

Its' mind boggling how incredibly stupid Sakura can be at times. So let me get this straight. You see ALL these Codebreakers fighting for YOUR sake, and you come up with the "logical" conclusion to jump in front of the lighting blast? Just what in the hell would that have accomplished if you weren't the special specimen?
Otherwise, good episode.

Yeah, I had to face-palm after she jumped right in front of the blast. I suppose the director of the anime wanted to show what she can do that all of the codebreakers combined can't do. I have to say however, I am enjoying the changes from the manga (yes, she is still just as dumb in the manga). The differences so far seem to have been made to give the series a more clear and concise focus so it can just get to the point and tell the story it wants to tell without removing much of the character backgrounds/development. That said, I do kinda hope they don't deviate too much from the original material. It wasn't exactly "great" but I did enjoy what I had read.
