Mreh, I find these new forms to be a bit too obvious. They're just mini-versions of the devices themselves.

There's a personality joke there. Sharing similiar traits like being too serioeus and not telling anyone about it but taking actions for the sake of the good of another. Or being cheerful, but can be very serious when put into the situation and try to help those that need it.

I can see some similarity between Nanoha and Millhi, but the similarities between Fate and Leo escape me... Though that could just be because I'm more focused on that personality wise the loud and outspoken Leo is pretty much a polar opposite of the shy and softspoken Fate.

What I meant was this similiarity, since the two are different in a number of ways:

Fate - First season: Is overly serious, tries to keep things to herself, and tries to take on very difficult or impossible tasks on her own mostly.

Leo - Beginning of first season: Is overly serious, kept things mostly to herself about things, tried to defy 'the future' by finding ways to save Milhi. Thus a difficult if not impossible task as shown through the progression.

Fate - After First season: Shows more of her personality, is extremely close to Nanoha

Leo - At the end of First Season: Shows another side of her personality with Milhi and is shown to be very very spoiled with Milhi.

like I said, some similiarities, though Fate and Leo are generally opposites of each other.
