So will this movie bring back good faith that a good KanColle anime adaptation is possible? Or will it be considered one of the most mishandled IP for an anime ever?

I feel like what Touken Ranbu is doing for theirs for having 2 different shows, one SOL and one more plot and action oriented, is what the KanColle anime SHOULD have done to appease a good chunk of fans or even bring in new ones.

Saw a poor-quality camrip of the Naval Review trailer for the movie, and apart from showing just how awesome the animation looks to be this time around... we also get Aoba, Kinugasa, and TENRYUU in action!

Battle of Savo Island?

Kamakazi-class Yūnagi can be added now that two of her class are in game. Than that entire force in in the game.

(Chōkai, Aoba, Furutaka, Kako, Kinugasa, Tenryū, Yūbari, and Yūnagi)

Though I suppose they could replace Yūnagi with Fubuki for the film.

It is one thing to challenge fate over Midway. It is another to challenge Fubuki's fate at the Battle of Cape Esperance.

But that's Fubuki, Hatsuyuki, Aoba, Furutaka, and Kinugasa.

She's probably remembering when she sank (October 11, 1942, Battle of Cape Esperance), like how they were remembering how Akagi sank at Midway.

Aoba is present....things might not go well.
