It's an theory I have, nothing is really explained about the masks at all.
When ever an Akuruturuka is using the mask, they say they are opening the gate whenever they use their powers. And Oshutoru also says: "become an gate and open the road to the source".
Also whenever they use their powers too much, they will fuse(right word? 同化) with the mask and have their souls stolen by it. And the end result looks like this

The state Hakuoro is in isn't said, but it's hinting towards that he haven't be released from the seal.

She was conflicted, but she decided to go with Haku and gang instead of staying in Yamato.
Haku didn't have a direct involvement in the invasion, he was sent by Oshutoru to give supplies to Munechika since Tuskuru had cut of Yamato's supply route.
Kuon did help them by telling them a route that Yamato didn't know about so they could deliver the supplies. At this point, Kuon was surprised that Haku didn't doubt her words a single moment when she told them the route.
Haku didn't take part of the battle directly either, his gang was later sent to take back supplies that Tuskuru had stolen that were stored in a storage, and it was there they met with Kurou, and yes Kuon was with them.

1. Who is the guy that Oshutoru is fighting at the end? Did oshutoru killed him/her?
2. Does Oshutoru and Ukon have some kind of relationship? their eyebrows seems to be alike.
3. What happened to Ukon, Rurutie, Maroro(don't really care about him just wondering if he died) after Oshutoru died?
4. Did they show/tell where Kuon is heading at the end?

2. They are the same person. Ukon is a disguise that Oshutoru is using. The beard are fake.
3. Rurutie and Maroro is alive. Maroro should be at the Imperial Capital, and Rurutie is at Oshutoru's home country, although I wouldn't be surprised if she soon left for her home. Ukon died since he is Oshutoru.
4. Never said where she went, but Oboro told her they would go home since everyone is waiting for them, so she probably went to Tuskuru.

It wasn't as bad as Kuya. Nekone had empty eyes, but she was responding when talked to, even if it was delayed.
The dictionary also states that due to Oshutoru asking Nekone with his final words for her to help Haku, she changed her way of life.

Nekone is Oshutoru's little sister. Oshutoru and Haku are completely unrelated. It's the Emperor(the old man in the end of episode 4) that is Haku's brother.
Oshutoru comes from Ennakamui and worked himself up to the position he have right now as general in Yamato.
What Haku is doing at the end is pretending that Oshutoru is alive to get the citizens of Ennakamui to protect Anju.
Haku(or Hakutoru like some likes to call him) will likely have to fight the other countries of Yamato since Oshutoru was framed as to being the assassin that killed the emperor and it's complete chaos in the capital after Vrai went on a rampage there and, Ougi and Kiuru spread bad rumors about Vrai.
And no, Oshutoru isn't the emperor of Ennakamui or something like that, he is only a very famous person.

Akuruturuka is the group name for people with "fake" Hakuoro masks, that will say Oshutoru, Mikazuchi, Munechika and Vrai.

Vrai is the last boss of Itsuwari, but he isn't the main antagonist.

Vrai starts to go completely off rails with the death of the Emperor and doesn't see Anju as a worthy successor. So Anju had two options towards Vrai, become his puppet or die.
Think of Vrai being a crazy dog that the real Antagonists let loose. The identity of the main antagonist is never reveled but there are three people I suspect can be it.
First is Uoshisu, he is very suspect with how he dealt with the situation after the Emperor's death. He found the poison in Oshutoru's home, He asked leading questions to Anju to make it seem like Oshutoru was the one giving Anju the poisoned tea, and Vrai over heard Oushisu talking about Oshutoru might have poisoned the Emperor.
The second one is Honoka, she is completely gone, and is believed to have cooperate with Oshutoru to poison the Emperor. I don't think she did it, but it's a possibility.
And the third is the Emperor, since it would be easy for him to create a fake corpse, the problem is that I can't think of a motive.

This is Mikazuchi


This is Vrai


They might look a little similar in the beginning, but it's easy to remember them by:
Mikazuchi, Longer Hair, mask on the right side (left side for the wearer).
Vrai, Shorter hair, mask on the left side (right side for the wearer).

The roman for that I use shouldn't be wrong for Mikazuchi. Vrai is a little harder, since it's ヴライ(Hard u, which usually becomes v) so that might be different from person to person.
