Pretty much that. I'll watch a show, no matter how bad it is, until the end if the art is bearable. On the other hand, if the art is bad, I usually won't give it a chance, no matter how interesting it is.
Different? Don't matter. Dislike? Important. The art isn't just different to me, it's a type of art I dislike. If it's just different, no problem though...

A little different?

Can't argue with that. If the art is bad, or I hate it, it could ruin a show, even if I love the story.

To me, I don't mind the art work here, and am actually looking forward to this. It has a good (great) team behind it, and seems fairly cool.

I am still hesitant though. It seems good, but also very strange at the same time.

Over all, I think I am more curious than anything.

BTW, is there a release date, or even a hint to when it will be out. THis year? next year?

Gainax, you're insane.

This might be their best thing since Gunbuster.

... words fail me. In both senses. I can't even tell if this is going to be all sorts of awesome or something really stupid because I'm overwhelmed by the sheer wtfness of it all.

Stocking actually describes herself as gosu musume (goth daughter), which seems to be about rebellious girls. I even found one article that discussed whether they were sick in the head.

Yes, Stocking is a Gothic Lolita, which is different from Sweet Lolita. Actually there's a difference between Goth, Lolita and Gothic Lolita.

Gothic culture originates from Europe, while Lolita fashion was created in Japan. Gothic Lolita is just one of the many styles that Lolita fashion has. Gothic Lolita obviously draws from European fashion, there's also Wa Lolita which draws from Japanese Kimonos and Qi Lolita which draws from Chinese Qipaos.

Sweet Lolita and styles like Princess Lolita and Guro Lolita are more themed styles rather than cultural styles.

Though the name seems enticing I am bit disappointed with Power Puff character designs . The only thing that is forcing me to give this show a try is Gainax and Gurren Lagann .

I hated FLCL so not getting my hopes high . And by saying this hope nobody's Internet Feelings were hurt : (

The arrow says panty, while Stocking's said stocking.

Oh Gainax, will you guys ever stop ceasing to amaze me with your wierdness? And I don't get why a lot of people are hating on the style of this show... It's kinda cute if you ask me.

Still, I'm being very wary of this one. I'm not that huge a fan of Gurren Lagann, but I did enjoy FLCL sometimes... I dunno, once I see the first episode I will judge for myself.
