Omg the randomness, I'm not sure why I keep watching this. >_<

Episode 3, some really bad puns with yuki-ona. ^^

There hasn't been a release in over a month. I wonder what happened. I really like this show. If you ask me, it reminds me of the original (3-minute) Di Gi Charat, except not as spontaneous.

I can't decide whether this is a sick and twisted parody on small children's anime ... or a sick and twisted small children's anime!

Talking Pugyru

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this series ^_^ It's very cute and it makes me laugh everytime I watch an episode!

I LOVE Pugyuru. It's hilarious! I am watching each episode over and over.

I know this show is not so popular, but Cheko-chan is so funny, she just cracks me up! The ending song is really catchy too.

I love this show too. I'm glad someone picked it up and continued releasing it.

It's funny in that "what in the hell..." sort of way.

This is so crazy its brilliant. I love this. It also takes up nothing on my harddrive and only 3 min of my time. Cheko floating in a bathtub is bizarrely kawaii.

Episode 9 was hilariously disturbing... the rest were kind of bland in comparison (not to mention bland in general). If they put the whole show on one DVD it might be worth buying, but not any more than that.

Buying? Do you seriously think someone would actually liscense this? It's only 13*5=65 minutes of extremely crappy animation with albeit inane humor, I don't see how any company could make money liscensing something like this. Of course, the japanese company that made it might give someone the rights for almost nothing to try and move product, but the simple costs of producting the DVD's might be too much to recoup with this thing.

I know. Pugyuru is obviously a crap. Many people just find it crappy and throw it away. However, for some reason, few people find it rather refreshing and amusing, because they find its cheapness and crappiness attractive. It's kinda similar to some wonderfully crappy B-movie titles.

Edit: I agree that it would be very difficult to make the licensing profitable. But I love this crappy-looking anime so I'd buy a DVD too.

I'd buy a DVD if it was licensed and released on just one.

I love the randomness, and the crappiness, actually; I think it adds something to the humor.

Cheko-chan is terribly cute, in a strange, strange way.

Hmm, maybe my post came off a bit rough... I actually think Puguryu is hilarious, and watched it raw as it came out..., it's just that it's not something I'd lable as quality, if you know what I mean. I totally agree with your sentiment.

I wonder how they would market it ...

"Pugyuru - it's like acid for your kids!"

"Follow the adventures of a 2 foot naked elastic maid with detachable head."

(That said, I download and watch each episode as soon as they become fansubbed. A big thank-you to spork for taking up this series.)

I'm "Sailor Spork", the guy who picked up subbing Pugyuru... I wish there was a DVD source to sub it from, but I've been having to clean up poorly colored and encoded TV raws. You have no idea how hard they were to find, even getting the l33t-raws (yuck). If they release an R2 DVD, maybe I'll remaster the whole series once we finish it. I just had to pick it back up tho, I don't know why the other group dropped it...
