Another great boss fight like The Shatterer. I assume there is a difference between world event bosses and campaign mission bosses in terms of difficulty?

World event bosses are supposed to be pretty hard I think. In all the demos they've had, they've scaled down the difficulty so the demo players have a good chance of beating him. In the real game, it's entirely possible to fail them if not enough people show up or people don't cooperate (use the cannons, evade attacks, etc).

Campaign missions I guess should be easier since they're your 'personal story'. However, there's also end-game dungeon raids, which would range from medium to very hard to serve as the end-game co-op content like raids in other MMOs.

Yeah, most people already guessed it's gonna be the Mesmer, interesting but not surprising.

Argggghhh they are just about to start closed beta? When is it ever gonna come out. I'm running out of things to do when I'm home.

I hope it releases soon. I would expect(hope?) maybe February and beyond for open beta assuming things go well.

I did not like the TOR beta at all and so this may very well be the only other MMO I look into for a while.

It really surprises me that no one in these forums seems that interested about this game. It seems people here only care about the junk games for mass corporate profit that flood the media. I feel i should start a Witcher 2 thread as well, but then again I don't think many people on these boards know that game either.

It's probably my most anticipated game of the year. Have my Hall of Monuments decked out at 35/50 already (would go for 40/50, but it's too much grind for just a title). I think the reason why there's not a lot of hype over it is because A-net doesn't release super flashy pre-rendered trailers (which have nothing to do with the gameplay) like everyone else, and the IP isn't as well established.

I'm sure once the game is closer to release there'll be more talk over it.

I'm looking forward to it, but I never could quite get into GW1. GW2 looks probably like it'll be great though.

There isn't a Witcher 2 thread? Huh... could have sworn there was. I loved that game.

I played Guild Wars. A long time ago. It was my second MMO after Earth & Beyond. It was fine for a time, but that damn crystal desert was really annoying after awhile.

I eventually got to the second to last quest on the volcanic islands before I stopped playing. I did the trail versions of two of the expansions and that was about it.

I was a Mesmer/Elementalist. That mixed with my old Diablo II Necromacer was probably why I picked Warlock in WoW.

GW2 is one of my most highly anticipated games of the year. I wasn't a GW1 player unfortunately, but I'm looking forward to seeing what GW2 brings to the table. I love everything I've seen so far and it's one of few online games that actually has interesting lore and races that all seem to properly fit together. It's also one of few MMORPGs I know of where ALL of the classes seem interesting to me and like they have the potential to be quite fun to play.

I've been waiting on this like ever since it was announced and this is great news!

I'm still at the game altho admit I'm bored out of my mind atm lol.

Might just go spend all my gold on whatever crap there is to spend it on before the GW2

So according to the latest blog post, the limited beta test will begin this weekend with press footage will be released on Monday. So excited that the game is so close to be released.
