Looks like My Hero Academia is a getting second season after all.

Plot Summary:

Mankind has developed superpowers known as "Quirks" with 80% of the population having some kind of superpower. These new abilities see the rise of both superheroes and villains. A prestigious school known as the The Hero Academy trains superpowered hopefuls into the heroes the world needs. Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he's part the 20% without a Quirk. Unwilling to give up his dream, he plans to take the exam and be accepted into a high school for budding heroes. Through a series of serendipitous events, he catches the eye of the greatest hero, All Might, who agrees to train him.

Well that's good news. It seemed a safe bet that this would get another season, but actual confirmation is better.

Plus...seems like everything is split cour these days. So doing it this way makes sense.

Bones in particular are infamous with split cours

Most likely not split cour for this year since it mentions about season 2 from the recent news.

According to TV station airing (unless they change the time slot), Nanatsu no Taizai Special Edition episodes, Arslan Senki S2, and Iron Blooded Orphan all has that time slot. It's likely to air next year rather than this year.

I think they'll change a timeslot, because otherwise it would be a little weird to announce a second season a year before it can air.

That was my thought. But the manga gets pacy enough that new viewers are going to think Bones is adapting faster anyway, even if they remain steadfastly faithful. It's conceivable they could adapt what they're hinting at in one cour.

Scan does seem to indicate that and it would be nice if that was the case. It really depends on how they pace things.

Really happy that a 2nd season has been confirmed. I'm a manga reader but I'm having a blast watching the anime. Bones have, once again, done an excellent job.

I think the second cour might end right before the Training camp arc cause there's still the School Tournament arc, the Training arc and Stain arc to do

IMO, it should end after the Midterm Exam mini-arc.

Glad we got official confirmation, though we already knew due to the Anime LOL.

I guess we got news what the arc for the second season will be about, looking forward to it. Do we know how many episodes are picked up yet? Hopefully more than 13 next.

Unless they skip an entire arc in-between, it has to be two cours based on what they're promoting.

I'm not surprised this gets picked up for a S2.

I did enjoy S1, so I'm looking forward to see if BONES can keep this quality and enjoyment up.
