The main cast is starting to feel a bit like an otome game.
I like "the Korral" the best actually, although we should probably be discussing this over here.

http://www.korranation.com/ are streaming the first two episodes this weekend only.

Just watched it and I'm liking what I see so far. Can't wait for the series to start.

I found this guy called SF Debris who makes opinionated reviews on all sorts of shows and he did so with this series. His look at season one (Water) is here and season two (Earth) is here.

I have a question about the Mai and Zuko pairing: they get together in the cartoons, but break up in some comic series. Are the comics canon or not? If they are, what's this information about Zuko's daughter on wikipedia, did he marry somebody else or did they get back together?
Sorry if this question has been asked before, I didn't find anything through search.

Has anybody read Avatar The Last Airbender - Search? Part 1 is out. Lets just say I enjoyed, and the end was just wtf. Anyway I don't want to spoil things. You'll see what I meant when you read it.

And a lot of people will still deny the canon ending, I mean they don't even believe the creators themselves.

If anyone still hasn't seen ATLA (why!?) this is your chance:

I actually have not watched it. I have had the full series disc sitting in my bookshelf for years now. I guess this is a good chance as any

I would issue one small caveat - while the series starts out perfectly well, you have to show a little patience with it. Bryke sold it to Nick as a kids show, and you get the sense (as with Reboot) that they wanted to lull the suits into a false sense of security and then start layering in the really subtle and dark stuff once the show was too popular to cancel. Give it a bit of time - not long - and you'll be amply rewarded.

The thing about Avatar is not that it tries to imitate anime (which inevitably fails in flames when tried by Western animation). Rather, it's true to itself while clearly being influenced by anime (among many strong Asian cultural influences).

Edit - I only just realized that I was the one who started this thread 14 years ago.

The question now is whether Legend of Korra will be added to Netflix.

Not a huge fan. Last season was pretty good but on the whole inferior to the original in every way.

The reason AtLA is on Netflix in the first place, of course, is that they're developing a live action version (may they avoid everything Shyamalan did) and want to create some buzz for it.

Is this an anime? I always thought it has that american cartoon air about it.

And I didn't like the kid, I only liked "The Legend of Korra" bit, because she's hot!

@: They stopped at 4 seasons... aw....

Ye, Korra was doodoobutter for sure =01. One thing it does have on the original is the villains though; they were amazingly multifaceted, especially Zaheer in the 3rd season, with Amon a very close 2nd.

Who are "they" exactly??? Depending on the answer, I'll be or . Don't want to endure another horrible live-action Avatar adaptation.

I'm good as long as they pronounce Aang's name correctly

Netflix (I would have thought that was implied, LOL). Bryke are attached in some sort of E.P. role.
