My daughter wants to cosplay Teresa from Claymore. We've been wondering where we might find silver or gold contact lenses. Apparently from Vexx's comment above about someone using red lenses, they must exist somewhere. Any suggestions from veteran cosplayers?
I thought we might try a theatrical costumers shop if we have one here.

If your daughter already has a prescription, or if she knows how to care/use contacts to avoid infection and is comfortable ordering internationally to avoid regulations, then all that's left to do is find a contact lens shop. Fortunately, they're available in disposable types in addition to the long-wearing versions, but most shops specialize in "normal" colors, and the novelty lenses seen most commonly aren't what most cosplayers are looking for, but the right kinds are out there with some searching. Aside from a local optician's shop, if you're lucky enough to have a theatrical shop nearby there's a chance they might carry some, but the best bet is probably one of a number of online shops (usually sold as "color", "colored", or "theatrical" contact lenses).

Most people I know order their contacts online ... but I've noticed a couple of my local area eyewear shops are starting to offer decorative contacts, so you might actually check at Binyons, TSO, or whatever your local chain of eyewear shops are. As Kyuusai says, they still require a prescription but these shops feature their own optometrists.

If you've never worn contacts before, I vehemently suggest going to an optometrist. Even if your eyes are perfect, you still need to be fitted for them, and the wrong size can cause anything from mild irritation to infection to simply not sticking. It's a bad day either way.

Aye.. I'd never suggest buying some without absolutely knowing your proper measurements (which means a prescription from an optometrist). Even a gnats ass in measurement off and they'll do a number on your eyes. (worn 'em for 35yrs ).

ok ill guess ill put mine up. Heres me this halloween as Ichigo. To make a long story short, my hair turned out red because the coloring I bought was expensive and marked as ORANGE - but yet when i sprayed my already kool-aid dyed hair - it came out punk fire engine red @_@ So - i ran to the nearest halloween store and bought the last can of orange they had ...well that turned out to be crap too o_O the bottle was de pressurized...not to mention used. >.> so i got stuck with red ^^ Still we had a killer time that night.
