Well ...

Okay, I guess it's possible this is just the early scenes and might become much better in the final product, but the CG ...

Well, it's not that bad looking, and it's faithful to the designs, but I honestly prefer the style the original series had.

But some of the less CG based scenes looked pretty good.

I think in the massive battle sequences, CG might not be unreasonable if they want to have the entire scene animated and in motion while keeping the entire scene in view. What bothers me the most are the close-up character battle scenes which also look like they're in CG. Those look really weird and unnatural. It looks more like a videogame cutscene than a proper animated movie feature.

I think the trailer looked pretty cool. Not as cool as manga, but good.

Eh I think it looks okay, I understand the CGI decision for the massive battles hopefully it will improve it looks rather gamey at the moment.

Don't you need to confirm she's a witch first? I'll grab a duck, you get the weighing scale.

Trailer is kind of a let down. I'm not convinced by the animation of the 3D models, expected way better.

2012 Berserk Film Trilogy's Main Cast, Staff Listed

Cast:
Guts: Hiroaki Iwanaga (Tomica Hero Rescue Force, Moyashimon, Kamen Rider OOO)
Griffith: Takahiro Sakurai (Toriko, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.)
Casca: Toa Yukinari (Grey's Anatomy dubbing, Naruto Shippūden)
So it looks like they won't be using the 1st anime VAs.

So are they only adapting the Golden Age arc, or will the stuff after the Eclipse get adapted eventually? Personally, I hope for the latter. Although it did remove a few things, I think the first anime did a pretty solid job of adapting that story arc, so if they're only adapting that story arc, making 3 movies about it feels a little unnecessary.

According to the studio this going to be one of the longest adaption they want to adapt everything included in the manga and they are going to release movies and ova and the golden age arc alone will be adopted into three movies.

well its canon that grrifith was the most feminine in the band of the hawk, so i think thats a job well done, and seeing the caps im thinking if they are of the first movie, it seems they are attempting to cover a lot in just the first movie.
