Looks like it, none of the AGE-3 variants have a rifle that has the DODS-ish barrel.

Continuing from the other thread about the missing beam sabers, it is possible that they're stored in the knee armor like in S-Gundam. Unless Age-3 Normal doesn't need one and prefers to use the big rifle as a club.

Knee (S Gundam), Front Skirt (Arios) Arm Guards (A lot of MS), hell they could be in the gun because it's so big.

I'm thinking the front skirt.

Also - those ZZ-like protrusions on its shoulders: Do they serve as shields, perhaps? I haven't seen ZZ, I'm not sure what purposed they served on the ZZ Gundam.

You should watch ZZ, the first half is mostly hit-or-miss comedy but its a good show.
Anyway the flaps where mostly wings for the Transformed mode, I think they also caught shots but it wasn't their main purpose.

Ah, I see. Just had a look at this picture, seems they're something like wings like you mentioned.

The transformation looks like a giant ugly block, though. Meh.

Their primary purpose is to bulk up ZZ. I hope this time, Age-3's would be functional.

AGE 3 looks far better in lineart form compared to the model kit. I'm liking it more and more!

I know that AGE is not really good at explaining its technology parts but I do hope they come out with a good reason behind the combination gimmick for AGE-3. At first I thought the AGE-3's arm and leg parts can combine into one fighter which then combine with the core fighter (acting as the chest and head) to form the full mobile suit. This would make the part swapping much more effectively.

But the latest scans just show that the core fighter contains no additional parts. It just attaches itself to the back of the mobile suit mode. The separate fighter is the whole mobile suit sans the core fighter/cockpit. If so, what's the point of the combining gimmick?

Since the core fighter is not functioning as an actual MS core, aside from containing the obvious Age System parts plus pilot, it also serves as an escape pod.

Spoiler for Age 3:

It may perhaps the Age-3 has flaws of lacking of mobility of carrying heavy weapon and heavy weight armor or could be the consumption energy weapon. The additional corefighter thruster will make the problem solve.

The AGE-3 carries its beam sabers in its arm guards, just like Seravee:

Spoiler:

I wonder if this means the other 2 wears won't be equipped with beam sabers, considering they don't share the same arm guard.

The other G-ceptor wears could carry sabers in alternative locations.
