Wait, so latest chapter, they entered "negotiations", exchanged a few letters, and went back to war. I guess negotiations broke down pretty quickly. I assume the Church was just buying time tho.

Meanwhile, Lightning is just enthusiastically calling on the deaths of these soldiers without a care.
